It’s time for General Hospital to bring Spencer Cassadine home. He should say goodbye to boarding school and have a private tutor. Joslyn Jacks and Cameron Weber are graduating high school this year so he would only have the summer to spend time with them and probably would not fit in well in a regular high school. Cam is already getting acceptance letters from college and Spencer is a few years behind the 18 year olds. Fifteen year Nicolas Bechtel began portraying Spencer at the tender age of 7. Since 2013, viewers have enjoyed watching him grow from a child into a young man whose voice is changing.

Fans are elated that the powers that be have not given the actor the Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome (SORAS) and kept the beloved Bechtel in his role. Recently Spencer’s father Nikolas told Carly that he was building a family with his son, Ava, and little Avery. He implied that Spencer might soon be home. The last time Spencer was seen was when Ava and Nikolas went to visit him last year at the Paris boarding school. His witty ways are needed in Port Charles and so much has happened since his last trip home. His grandpa Mike passed away and his beloved uncle Sonny is presumed dead.

His dad and Ava have really fallen in love and his cousin Avery is now his stepsister and living at Wyndemere. His aunt Lulu is in a long term care facility and grandma Laura just found out the most dangerous man in town, Cyrus Renault is her half brother. This makes the drug kingpin the uncle of Nikolas and great uncle of Spencer. Now that Dev is gone, Spencer could add some drama to the teen storylines at least for the summer. A few years back he and Cameron Weber both seemed to care for Joslyn Jax when they worked together as youth counselors.

If the truth comes out that Cam knew Dev stole her diary, Joss might need a shoulder to lean on. She is too old to look at Spencer as a love interest but while she is crying on his shoulder this might open the door for a romance between Trina and Cameron. This is only speculation as there has been no confirmation that Laura’s grandson is headed back to Port Charles. Should he return, Spencer will be devastated that his uncle Sonny is gone as he once aspired to be like him. One day the young Cassadine Prince asked his mother’s brother to “ handle” Valentin Cassadine for him.

Spenscer is a young man now and will naturally no longer be playing his childhood pranks. He could however cause problems with his dad and stepmom Ava. Viewers are wondering if Nikolas mentioning his son on Monday was a hint that the precautious teen will be returning soon. Nicolas Bechtel is a Kid Correspondent for Nintendo of America, Inc. at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) event. In 2015, the young actor became a special correspondent for "Extra" and began attending red carpet events where he was interviewing celebrities.

Nicolas Bechtel has also appeared on the ABC drama Grey's Anatomy and the NBC soap Days of Our Lives. He portrayed Lewie Diaz in Stuck in the Middle and had roles in Baby Daddy, Little Ben, Max Leon, and Girl Meets World. A teenage Nicolas might lose some of his boyhood charm and prove himself to be a combination of a true Cassadine and also have a mob edge like his uncle Sonny. It would b nice if Emma Drake returned to Port Charles this spend time with her grandma aAnna Decameron and she and Spencer might spend time together. Spencer was in love with Emma when he was a child and often argued with Cameron Weber over her.
