Summer is shocked by Theo’s actions.

From the day Theo Vanderway showed up in Genoa City, he has seemed to have a vendetta against Kyle Abbott. He ignored the fact that is former party buddy was engaged and kept trying to get him to go back to his former ways. He began dating Summer after finding out that she and Kyle had been married, then brought Zoe to Genoa City in an attempt to stop the Kola wedding. On the next episode of The Young and the Restless, Summer will figure out Theo’s game plan. This program was scheduled for Friday, but may be delayed until Monday or Tuesday because of the impeachment proceedings.

While Lola and Kyle are trimming their tree, Summer runs into her ex at the bar inside Society. As Theo talks his agenda becomes quite clear to his ex. He accuses Summer of never having gotten over Kyle, but she blows him off. They discuss the missed meeting and Summer insists that Kyle did not sabotage his cousin, because he would never do anything to hurt Jabot. Theo says that he does not understand why beautiful women can’t see through his cousin’s bull. Summer points out that he said “women” and says that he is obviously wanting to be with Lola. Ms. Newman calls Theo out on always sitting around in Anby’s restaurants waiting for Kyle’s wife to come out of the kitchen. She then adds that she realizes Theo wants Kyle’s entire life. Summer tells her employee that he will never have Lola but he insists they are just buddies.

After Summer walks away, Theo sends a text to Lola of himself and a plate of food. He seems disappointed when she does not respond. Will Summer run straight to Kyle with her new revelation or keep it to herself and what is the real reason Theo seems to hate Kyle? Is Mr. Vanderway devious enough to destroy his budding relationship with the Abbott’s just to get back at Kyle? Summer was just someone to spend a little time with but Theo seems to really care about Lola. What he does not seem to consider is that she is another man’s wife.

Viewers of The Young and the Restless have already overwhelmingly stated that they do not like the character of Theo Vanderway. Now that he had used Summer, and is making a play for Kyle’s wife fans will hate him more. Characters like this don’t usually last long so Mr. Vanderway’s days are probably numbered. Should Summer alert Kyle that his cousin wants to take over his life, he will warn Lola. She might be offended and believe Summer is up to her old games. She may also become angry that her husband does not trust her judgement where Theo is concerned.

The dynamic between Theo and Summer clearly has changed and there are going to be problems. He had been sleeping with her this whole time, knowing she never got over Kyle. The question now is will Theo appreciate his position at Jabot or will he disappoint Jack Ann’s Traci by trying to set Kyle up? Things are about to become pretty sticky as battle lines are drawn. There may be an all out war between Dina’s grandsons. At the end of the day however, Kyle is Jack’s son and Summer will stick by him no matter what. Theo is the odd man out and the one who is on slippery ice.

Spoiler alerts have not revealed any details yet regarding how this may turn out, but it won’t be good. Should Theo deduce Lola, it will be the end of her marriage to Kyle and Mr. Vanderway will be out on his ear. The new writing team seems to already be setting up a Skyle reunion so there is plenty of drama ahead. Although Summer loves Kyle she does not want to see his cousin hurt him so she may intervene somehow in an attempt to put out this fire before it gets started. Be sure to stay tuned to The Young and the Restless, weekday afternoons on CBS at 12:30 PM EST.
