Liam wants to get hhands on Thomas again

Liam does not have grounds for total custody of the children

Spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful suggest that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is going to the dark side and will try to gain custody of Douglas Forrester ( Henry Joseph Samiri) and Beth Spencer ( Jordan Lynn Ariza) because Hope Spencer (Anikka Noelle) is living with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). This would be a stretch but as wound up as he has been lately it's possible Clifton's character might make some rash decisions.

Liam may possibly gain custody of his own daughter in an extreme situation but he has no grounds to take Douglas away from his biological father. Hope legally adopted Douglas whose mother Caroline Spencer II (Linsay Godfrey) died suddenly. Thomas set this in motion when he was toxic and willing to do anything to keep Hope in his life. Now, Hope has forgiven him all his past misdeeds because she can see he has changed.

She began a friends-with-benefits relationship with Thomas in anger that Liam still had feelings for Steffy Forrester (Jackie Wood) but now has admitted that she really loves him. Self-righteous Liam is going off the rails and cannot get past what Thomas did to his family. he ignores the fact that he had feelings for both his wife and Thomas's sister. Liam's back and forth between the two is what has infuriated Hope. He recently said he wanted to give their marriage another chance after telling her there was no way he could forgive her for kissing Thomas in Italy.

Steffy refused to leave John Finnegan (Tanner Novlin) for Liam which is why he ran back to Hope and said he wanted to try again. If spoilers are accurate Liam will not be able to let go of the past and his hatred for Thomas will fester. He is outraged that Hope did not listen to him and has said she could be with any man just not the one who did not tell them Beth was alive. Liam has always been a goody two shoes but he is the son of Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). There is no telling what lengths he will go to in an attempt to make Hope see the light.

How far is Liam willing to go?

Hope has done nothing that warrants losing either of her children and Liam may not have a leg to stand on. Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) was the last victim of Thomas when he was vengeful and she has forgiven him. Steffy and her mom Taylor Hayes (Krist Allen) and her dad Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) have all said they see the work Thomas has put in and they are proud of him.

Liam can try but he may not have a leg to stand on. In the process, he may prove to be more toxic and dangerous than Thomas ever was. Everyone believes that Thomas has changed for the better and the only person who might side with Liam would be his father. His brother Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) is no longer on The Bold and the Beautiful show so Liam will not have his listening ear.

What will he do with no one backing him and how will he attempt to prove Thomas has not changed? He just might sue for custody of Beth but might not have grounds to win. As for spoilers saying he wants Douglas, there is nothing to suggest this would ever happen. Stay tuned to The Bold and the Beautiful to find out what Liam does next and whether his plan will backfire.
