Mulan - The 2 Movies
This is a review of the two movies Mulan - Rise of the Warrior released in 2009 against the Disney release Mulan 2020. I am only compelled to compare the two because they provide two different perspectives and though there are some similarities throughout the movie the differences is what makes them both unique to each other.
Teriu LemonPublished 4 years ago in Geeks"I Just Can't Wait to Be King"
If you were a Disney fan at all you remember the beautiful story of 'The Lion King.' With it's beautiful animated cinematography, catchy songs, enthralling plotlines and goofy (this was unintentionally punned) characters, you could not help but to get sucked into the story.

Jide OkonjoPublished 4 years ago in GeeksKelly Thiebaud attacked online because of a new haircut
My personal mantra is that people grow older but do not grow up and the Internet continues to prove this true. Immature adults have been harassing General Hospital actress Kelly Thiebaud online because they don't like her new haircut. This is behavior that should have been left in grade school and not appropriate for sensible adults. Kelly's character Britt Westbourne returned to General Hospital Friday, announcing that she is the new chief of staff. Instead of welcoming her back to Port Charles, mean spirited fans made fun of Kelly's bangs. The actress did not say who cut her hair but it was announced weeks back that soap stars were going to have to do their own hair and makeup.
Cheryl E PrestonPublished 4 years ago in GeeksDC's 'Doom Patrol' Renewed For A Third Season by HBO Max
Saturday saw the second round of DC FanDome, titled Explore the Multiverse. It consisted of panels that were pre-recorded, and one of these panels was the Doom Patrol panel, which was originally slated for the August 22 DC FanDome date before much of the TV-focused panels were pushed back to September 12. Understandably, those on the panel were not able to talk about the news that did not get announced until right before DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse. Saturday morning, we learned via Deadline that Doom Patrol has been renewed for a third season at HBO Max.

No...I refuse to watch Cuties. Do not even ask me to! I do not care what is being offered in exchange, I still will not watch it. It is not worth it.
Halden MilePublished 4 years ago in GeeksThe Filmmaker's Guide to: “The Godfather” (1972)
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we are going to explore some of the films that have changed our outlook of the possibilities in cinema in some way, shape or form. These can include, but are not limited to: revolutionary cinematography, narratives that challenge the social structure and the common view, trademark styles of auter cinema, brilliant adaptations of novels and other works, films of philosophical value and films that touch our hearts and souls with their incredible underlying messages and morals. Within each of the films in this chapter there is a certain something that makes them special and a certain something that makes them linger long after we have watched them for the first time. Lasting impressions are difficult to create, but I think that the films we will briefly touch on in this chapter are some of the films we will never ever forget.
Annie KapurPublished 4 years ago in GeeksContent vs "content"
This morning I quite happily unsubscribed from a YouTube channel and it was for very personal reasons. I can't say the content creator intended to piss me off as it is very much my personal makeup and where I am in my own journey right now that made me get angry.
Kerri PhilpottPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "#Saraitda aka #Alive"
#Saraitda aka #Alive is a movie that came out of nowhere on Netflix. It's kind of perfect timing for such a movie to come out too. It's basically a zombie horror movie that's implements elements of modern realities. In a way it's kind of confusing as to categorize this movie. It's got elements of comedy, drama, romance and horror. There's something for everyone in this movie but not focusing on something specifically to say that it is catered toward a certain demographic.
Brian AnonymousPublished 4 years ago in GeeksThe Yellow Flick Road
The Yellow Flick Road: Time Travel While I am fully aware that The Wizard of Oz is “technically” not a movie about time travel, my own delusion has once again influenced my belief system. But spacetime is a thing, and traveling through space is a thing, and space and time are intrinsically linked. All movies travel through through time, so all movies are about time travel. But let’s be reasonable. We will focus on movies that deliberately discuss abnormal temporal activity.

Reeves Incarnate: The making of Superman George Reeves. Christopher Reeve. Keanu Reeves. The beginning, middle and end. All supermen in their own right. All representative of a certain era in American culture. The masculine Dorothy, given reign and rule over all with his peerless ability. Is it mere coincidence that the names of the Supermen would be Reeves?
Antonio JacobsPublished 4 years ago in GeeksAltered Carbon: Death is but a Distant Dream (Season 1)
Cyber-punk shows have never been done quite like this, and the justice that Altered Carbon delivers to the Sci-fi and cyber punk genres is nothing far from amazing. Through beautiful cinematography, strong performances, engaging fight sequences, and an emotionally compelling story, Altered Carbon has become a big steppingstone for future works of the like. Hold on tight, for every episode will have you pondering over the meaning of life, the unpredictability of the future, and will induce the occasional existential crisis. Not to worry though, for this is only science fiction (Or is it?).
