Classic Simpsons Episodes That Could Have Been Turned Into Full-Length Movies
On 27th July 2007, 20th Century Fox and Gracie Films would release The Simpsons Movie into cinemas worldwide. Despite viewership and critical opinion towards The Simpsons having declined since the year 2000, old and new fans flocked to watch the world's favourite animated family's big-screen debut. Grossing $536 million in box office receipts, The Simpsons Movie became the eighth-biggest film of 2007 and the 2nd-highest-grossing traditionally animated film (after The Lion King). This big-screen story would also see The Simpsons receive their most positive critical reviews since the show's 'golden era'. At the time of writing, The Simpsons Movie currently holds approval ratings of 87% and 80% on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic, respectively.
Fergus JeffsPublished 3 years ago in GeeksMovie Review: 'To All the Boys: Always and Forever'
I must admit my complete ignorance of Netflix’s To All the Boys film series. Until the pandemic began, I didn’t do much Netflix and chill, I was busy at the movie theater. I would take time to check out Netflix when they did something big and splashy like The Irishman, but, for the most part, I ignored the rest of the streaming channel’s output, especially their many, MANY, young adult products which are so numerous as to have completely run together into a blob of high schools and hormones.

Let’s Talk About Malcolm & Marie.
When I first heard the buzz about Sam Levinson’s Malcolm & Marie, I was excited. The film (written and directed by Levinson) was shot in black and white on 35mm film, which is rare. The cinematography was visually beautiful, and the performance of the lead characters were stunning. What wasn’t so great however, was the screenplay.

The Beautiful Mind Of The Professor - 1964 J.R.R. Tolkien Interview - How He Created The Lord Of The Rings And Other Musings
Listening to The Professor speak on anything is an experience as otherworldly as the great adventures in his written works. This interview with Professor J. R. R. Tolkien was conducted in 1964 by Denys Gueroult (His name has varying spellings based on the source material.) BBC Radio 4 first broadcast the interview in 1971. It takes a very dedicated listener to follow the Professor at times through this interview. Just as a reader must be to wade through his written works. But that is the beautiful mind of Tolkien.

Truthfully up until last year (and I'm 27) I had never once read a Stephen King book, or watched any of the movies. I know that sounds unreal, his works are iconic and he definitely is an established author to the point of making a name for himself. But growing up in a fairly religious household, my parents did not find it appropriate to have me reading what they considered to be controversial topics and conversations. That being said, this was defintiely the perfect opportunity to discover a whole new relm of reading as an adult and it absolutely thrilled me.
Kayla LindleyPublished 3 years ago in GeeksGina Carano Has Reportedly Been Fired From Star Wars
Well, it finally happened. Originally this article was going to cover why Gina’s social media presence was so controversial with her newest bad take: implying that being a Trump Supporter was akin to being a Jewish person under Nazi Germany. But now, after months of stonewalled silence from the company, Disney has decided to take action against the company’s biggest liability to their public reputation: Gina Carano is no longer a part of Star Wars, made official by a statement that io9 obtained from a Lucasfilm spokesperson.

In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Everyone loves a good story - but some people love a good story about a great person even more. Why? These people either once existed or still exist and it is important to tell their story, learn about their story and feel the feelings they felt at the most difficult or turbulent times in their life.
