Felix Dubois returns to 'General Hospital'
When it comes to Marc Anthony Samuel's General Hospital character, things have been predictable for the past 3 years. Nurse Felix Dubois returns near the end of February and is seen sporadically. He then disappears after the annual Nurses Ball in May. Felix is always one of the performers at the gala and fans look forward to watching him entertain. There was a point when Felix was a regular fixture in Port Charles back when he was best friends with Sabrina Santiago. There was also a debate regarding his being paired with Lucas or Brad.

If you love a good show that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and has a few seasons keep reading! It all starts in Birmingham, Loudon. In 1919, Thomas Shelby returns home to Small Heath, Birmingham from serving in The British Army during World War I. Tommy is the leader of the notorious gang, Peaky Blinders. Small Heath is ruled by the Blinders, with Arthur the oldest Shelby brother to Tommy's left, and the third born Shelby brother, John to his right. However, nothing would rule, without the brothers Aunt Polly. I personally think Polly keeps the gang within reality, especially as the seasons progress. The Shelby's are Romanian Gypsy's. Their gang was first known for sewing razor blades in their caps, within easy reach to slice a cheek or two, may the occasion arise. Tommy, had bigger things in sight for the Blinders. Racing Horses, and of course guns was only the start. Tommy, Arthur, and John intended to clear anything that stand in their path. They did that and more. He had his uncle Charlie, in the yard. Never failed him, you'll see how it all comes together through the seasons. Then you have Johnny Dogs. Well, I wont ruin that once for you. He never disappoints when carrying out an order.

It's not called Star Wars for nothing. There have been a ton of deaths in the movie franchise over the years, but none more so than in the original trilogy. From the Battle of Yavin to the Battle of Endor, our heroes and their foes have left a trail of bodies across the galaxy far, far away.
Alex ArbiosPublished 3 years ago in GeeksThe Violent Beginnings of ‘The Wizard of Oz’
‘The Wizard of Oz’ is a childhood staple, a family favourite watched in households throughout the country, and the world! However, the book on which the movie was based is far from the innocent, “there’s no place like home”, happy tale we’ve grown up loving.

I’ve watched this series all the way through twice now, and on my first watch, I knew the critiques were coming. When Jolene (Moses Ingram) reappears in the second-to-last episode, I thought “Uh oh… here they come.” And come they did. Bitch was quick to call out the series, as was The Mary Sue, even the Washington Post: Jolene’s character is tokenized, they say, and even worse, an example of the “Magical Negro” trope (in which Black characters appear to save white characters, sometimes—though not always—by mysterious or supernatural means). I thought these very same things when Jolene reappeared at Beth’s darkest moment to pull her from the depths. When we first meet Jolene, she is stereotypically brash and loud-mouthed, and she remains always secondary to the white protagonist’s narrative. Jolene’s return adds something even less forgivable when she steps in at the eleventh hour to “rescue” Beth at the story’s climax, implying that her purpose is only ever in service of her white counterpart. This is purely bad representation. Isn’t it?

A room without books is like a body without a soul. -Cicero Barnes & Noble is a name all of us know, and a lot of us have very fond memories attached to. From finding your most treasured book, having coffee with friends, to sitting on the floor in the comic section reading about your favorite hero.

Jason Ray MortonPublished 3 years ago in GeeksA Filmmaker's Guide to: Conflict on Film
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. So, strap in and prepare for the filmmaker’s guide to film studies because it is going to be one wild ride.
