Actor-Writer-Director Linda Grasso Portrays Memorable Character on Web Series with 170 Million Views
Grasso has reasons to flash a bemusing Mona Lisa-like smile As more entertainment productions start up again, coming out the Pandemic lockdown, actor-writer-director Linda Grasso is already geared up for a return. Australian-born Grasso, who most recently appeared in the Khloe Kardashian-produced true crime series Twisted Love, is now enthusiastically ensconced in Hollywood. She used the lockdown to hone her performing skills: “My strengths are in my comedic ability. I’ve been told by peers that there is an unpredictability in my timing, which they call a rare quality in comedy. But, I wanted to enhance my skills. So, I spent most of my pandemic time doing self-tape and zoom auditions. I continue to polish my acting skills with online classes and learned techniques to do a more professional self-tape audition. All to add to my acting chops, both comedy and drama.”

Maybe days like this don’t have to be so bad. Keep living life like there is no tomorrow. 50 First Dates entered theaters in 2004. Henry meets a young woman in a diner one morning. Believing that he hit off, he returns the next morning - only she doesn’t know him. Finding out that Lucy has short-term memory loss after an accident, Henry makes an effort to improve her memory.

Is it just me or did anyone else notice how clunky the scene with Selby from the Falcon and the Winter Soldier played out? In case you missed it obviously watch for spoilers. In the scene things are progressing smoothly until Sam gets an unexpected phone call from his sister. It is a great device to create tension but when Selby insists that Sam, in disguise as Smiling Tiger, answer on speaker it caught me off guard. Is it against the rules for him to receive phone calls? The scene could have had an equal amount of tension if she had just casually, instead of accusingly, told Sam he could answer. Sam would have still had to remain in character, and we could have had some more development between Sam and his sister as he verbally berates her over the phone to stay in character that could have been interesting for their subplot. If it was meant to be rude or inappropriate for Sam to get a call during the meeting, then it should have been hinted at beforehand in a previous scene. As it stands in the current cut there is no established precedence for Selby’s reaction.

Movies Can Be Good Without Being Thought Provoking
As much as people love movies that can challenge our way of thinking and sense of morality, it’s nice to watch movies that we can relax and enjoy. While it’s important we have films like The Trial Of The Chicago 7 and Judas And The Black Messiah, sometimes films like those can be overbearing to watch one after the other. People loved the reboot Godzilla movies because of one simple thing, and it’s not just because they grew up with them. It’s because we could enjoy giant monster fighting. No one really cared about a philosophical debate of humankind and whether or not they should live amongst a new kind of god. We just want Godzilla to do his iconic roar and fight other giant monsters.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode Three Awkward Execution. For those of you keeping pace with the new series on Disney plus may have noticed that while the show started in a strong place with its first two episodes that something was off when going into to third. Now I am not saying it was bad, just off. Lots of theories have come out online trying to put a finger on what made the episode stumble a little, but I would like to share my thoughts on the show do far as we reach the halfway point in the six-episode series.

I am enjoying many of my favorite television programs from the 60s and 70’s on streaming services and retro television networks. I recently watched quite a few back to back episodes of Bewitched where the talented Marion Lorne MacDougall was featured as Aunt Clara. Professionally she was known as Marion Lorne and as Aunt Clara was bumbling and fumbling and as a witch. Clara's spells almost always went wrong and she once caused a power outage in 12 Eastern states. She also conjured up the real Ben Franklin and created an actual spotted elephant for her great niece Tabitha when what she was trying to reproduce was a toy stuffed pakaderm.

The Monsterverse has been impressive from a visual standpoint to say the very least. Denying that would be denying how far visuals have come in the last 15 years. We are capable of seeing almost anything come to life on the big screen these days and the Monsterverse has been proof of that.
