Kevin Fisher returns to ‘The Young and the Restless’

A recent spoiler for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has fans wondering if it is a fact or a misprint. Celeb Dirty Laundry recently reporterd that Kevin Fisher will return next week to Genoa City after a long absence but they listed Greg Vaughan instead of Greg Rikaart as the actor portraying the character. No other spoiler or news outlet has mentioned Kevin’s return or a change in the actor who portrays the character. Greg Rikaart is a fan favorite and if he were being replaced it would be big news and reported by multiple sources. Rikaart was all over the Internet when he was fired a few years back from Y&R after 14 years on the show.

The actor was rehired and involved with Victor Newman stealing Nick’s inheritance. then he and Elizabeth Hendrickson,(Chloe) disappeared again. They returned briefly and the couple found out they were expecting a baby. Soon after thry were off screen until it was time for Chloe to give birth. Shortly after she delivered their son the couple was gone again.There was a spoiler a few months back suggesting Rikaart had walked away from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS but nothing more came of it. If this veteran soap star had been replaced there certainly should have been more biz about it.

For this reason it’s probably a typographical error on the part of CDL rather than a true spoiler. Neither Greg Vaughan nor Rikaart has mentioned THE YOUNG SND THE RESTLESS on their social media accounts. Even so the information is worth pointing out just in case. CDL spoilers are banned from several Facebook groups because they often prove to be incorrect. This is one reason I don’t like sharing information from the site. What I have noticed is that the next day spoiler alerts are usually spot on from CDL but the stories with question marks are only projections of possibilities and should not be viewed as fact. Both actor’s first names are Greg so printing Vaughan instead of Rikaart might have been an error on the part of CDL but Y&R viewers should know by the end of the week. Greg Vaughan is a daytime veteran who has portrayed Brady Black on NBC’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES and Lucky Spencer on the ABC soap GENERAL HOSPITAL. The actor also had the role of Diego Guittierez on THR YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS from 2001-2003. Diego worked at the Newman ranch and also for Nick and Sharon at Crimson Lights. He had a one night fling with Sharon and was beaten up by Nick. He later had a romance with Victoria and left town when it did not work out.

Y&R viewers will be glad to see Kevin again no matter who is cast in the role but if it’s not Greg Rikaart this will cause some problems. His fans have been wondering where he is because he is one of several popular characters on the show to be sidelined. His on screen wife Chloe has been on hand during the past month and is involved with Chelsea’s scheme to frame Adam. Soaps.com teased that Chloe will make some type of decision this week and CDL indicates that Kevin will be defending his wife. The rumor mill suggests Victor might have frightened her into turning on Chelsea.

Kevin’s brother and sister in law Michael and Lauren are now getting more air time after over a year of seeming like day players. Even Kevin’s mother in law Esther made an appearance last week. It’s not clear how Kevin will assist Chloe but those who watch THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will simply be glad he’s back and hoping he gets quality air time. Be on the lookout for additional news related to these characters as it becomes available. Chrlsea is supposed to admit framing Adam and go onto Fairview which is a mental health facility. It will be interesting to see who Chloe and Kevin interact with in Genoa Citu once Ms. Lawson is out of the way.
