Kelly Monaco reaches out to followers on Instagram

Kelly Monaco has finally addressed her situation by going on Instagram. Viewers were stunned last week when Monaco's mother announced that she was in quarantine for two weeks. Camina Monico assured General Hospital devotees that her daughter had passed two COVID-19 tests along with a screening and did not have the coronavirus. This did not stop speculation because a week prior to this an alleged trusted source revealed that two female cast members on the ABC daytime drama were indeed COVID positive and it was suggested that one of them was Kelly Monaco.

Camino Monaco explained that her daughter is claustrophobic and had a hard time wearing a mask under the glaring lights on the General Hospital set. Kelly was sent home to remain in quarantine and her mom says she should be back to work on Monday, August 10. A number of fans began sharing on Facebook that they too were claustrophobic and had a hard time wearing the masks that are required since the outbreak of COVID-19. Others are still suspicious and believe that Monaco was quarantined because she tested positive for the coronavirus.

Monaco was temporarily replaced by Lindsay Hartley and some General Hospital viewers have been quite mean spirited on social media. Sam McCall was in the center of things this week so in order for the storyline to continue there had to be a replacement. Earlier in the week, Jason gave his power of attorney to Carly, who told him not to put her in a position to have to use it. Sam was in full agreement as she did not want to be the one to make a life or death decision.

On Thursday, Jason's bike crashed and he ended up hospitalized with Carly signing the papers for doctors to treat him. WHo had any idea that things would go south so quick. Jason's injuries do not seem life threatening but he is still unconscious. Based on the timing of things it may be Lindsay Hartley who has all the scenes during the period where Jason's health is in jeopardy. Sam is also being pursued by Valentin Cassadine who wants her to sell her children's ELQ shares to him.

Next week, spoilers say Sam is going to be suspicious of Brando because he had worked on Jason's bike before it crashed. She is actually going to ask Sonny's cousin if he tampered with the motorcycle. On Friday, Cyrus Renault admitted to his assistant that he was responsible for the crash and believed he could take out Sonny because Jason was no longer a threat. Renault has no clue who he is dealing with, as Sonny, Sam, Spinelli, and even Carly all have their ways of working together to bring him down.

Jordan and Laura are also determined to get rid of this drug kingpin so he will have much opposition. In addition to all of this, Sam, is dealing with the fact that her parole officer is playing hardball, so she will be pretty busy, no matter which actress is in the role. Kelly Monaco Fans on social media are wishing her well and say they are looking forward to her being back on the General Hospital set again.
