Julian put a ring on it so what’s next for nasty Nelle?

General Hospital has a number of storylines that fans desire to see wrapped up when the show starts airing again. One situation that has many layers to it has to do with Julian Jerome and his new wife. Nelle Hayes is as calculating and vindictive as Julian can be vengeful and murderous. This makes them two of a kind, but their marriage does not seem as if it has a chance. When General Hospital returns from hiatus, fans are wondering what will be in store for the newlyweds. Neither one can stand the other and each of them have secrets on one another. Nelle knows Julian was aware that Wiley was her child with Michael and that he caused the car accident that hurt Lucas. He knows that she is the one who initiated switching babies and both are allowing Brad to languish in jail.

When the couple was last seen, they were in court and Nelle was asking her lawyer to do damage control because Diane had just pulled Julian’s skeletons out of the closet. Between Mrs. Jerome and her new hubby they have committed all kinds of crimes while Michael’s one offense was as a teenager and Willow is squeaky clean. Even so there is no way to know for sure which way this trial will go. There is no plausible reason the Jerome’s should get custody of Wiley but on soaps anything is possible. Michael and Willow could be granted full custody or the judge could decree that Wiley's parents share him.

Some fans have been suggesting on social media that perhaps the hate between these two may turn to passion and they hit the sheets. Sonny and Ava detested each other but had sex in the Quartermaine crypt and produced Avery. There is a possibility that Julian and Nelle will end up in bed but they probably will not fall in love. Julexis fans are very disappointed that Alexis and her ex husband did not get back together. These two could heat up the screen during their love scenes but it seems the writers are taking them in different directions, at least for now. It's been 3 years since Julian was released from Pentonville, and all that has happened between him and his former spouse was a sexy dream that she had.

Viewers are also wondering when the truth about Julian will be revealed. In addition to Nelle, there are Brad, Britt and Brook Lynn who all know about his underhanded dealings. Prior to the pandemic, William deVry said on Twitter that his character would probably be gone by the summer. If that was the plan then COVID-19 had put everything on hold and It would now probably be sometime in 2021 before this tangled web of deception becomes unraveled. There is also the fact that Obrecht delivered Nelle’s baby and that truth needs to come to light. Once all these loose ends are tied up both Julian and his new bride could be in jail.

There is also the issue of Nelle being suspected of being Nina's daughter and if true this will make Ms. Reeves little Wiley's grandma. All of this si surely to be overwhelming. Fans are curious about how this fake marriage will eventually play out and no one expects it to work. The bigger question is how the love scenes will be filmed once new episodes are being taped again. Soap Dirt and Soap Hub are reporting that there may be major changes when General Hospital resumes taping. Actors over age 65 may not be allowed on the set because they are at high risk for COVID-19. This would affect Max Gail who portrays Mike Corbin and Lexlie Charleston who plays Monica Quartermaine. Social distancing will lead to changes in how scenes are filmed and may even stop romantic encounters.

Ava and Nikolas have a spark between them that many viewers believe will eventually ignite but there is no chemistry between Wiley's mother and the man who once thought he was his grandpa. As time rolls on and viewers are further away from the most recent new episodes it may be difficult to reconnect when new shows return. This is why CBS should begin airing programs that are more recent that lead right up to the next set of original episodes. When Nelle walked into the courtroom holding up her ring it was indeed a show stopper moment. Most fans, however had already figured out that Julian was going to be her groom.
