Who is Aunt Jordan and why is she trying to kill the Newmans?

The Young and the Restless viewers are not enjoying one particular current storyline that is supposed to get darker soon. Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zink) will lure Nikk Newman's (Melody Thomas Scott) immediate family into a trap according to spoilers. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Abby Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) naturally will not be involved. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Victoria Newman ( Amelia Heinle) will be at risk of losing their lives unless the preview is a dream sequence.

Spoilers say once they arrive in Jordan's lair she will put them off by not giving details about Nikki. When Victor becomes aggressive Claire Grace's (Hayley Erin) aunt will announce she has poisoned their bottled water and they will all soon have heart attacks. No one recognizes thsi character from the past so Y&R viewers don't have a clue why she is so vindictive against the Newmans. Some fans have said this was a poor method of giving Nikki something to do besides tearing down her stepson Adam.

What role will Cole play in rescuing the Newmans?

The plot thickens as J. Eddie Peck has returned as Cole Howard who had relationships with both Victoria and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Cole received a text from Nikki's phone that Vicki was in trouble so is he somehow connected with Claire's crazy aunt. None of this is making sense and fans wonder why Claire Grace is assisting her crazy aunt.

Fans of The Young and the Restless know the Newmans are not going to die but if they really are poisoned they might become sick. At some point, they will be rescued and some who watch the CBS soap are hoping Adam will save the day. Fans have even gone so far as to say on social media that Nikki might appreciate Adam enough to stop harassing him for at least 2 days.

Now that Cole is back and has received that cryptic text message from Nikki's phone perhaps he will be the hero for Victoria and her family. Claire Grace more than likely had the phone at the time so if she notified Cole there must be a connection. At this point, however, the pieces are nto falling into place.

Y&R fans want to know what's going on

When Y&R fans cannot figure it out they make wild speculation and some had assumed that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) was behind Claire's appearance in Genoa City and that she might be Ian's daughter. Now that does not look like a possibility so fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen.

One thing is evident and that is that Jordan knew Nikki was an alcoholic and is trying to get her hooked again. Some fans of The Young and the Restless are saying that this is going too far and is devious and dangerous. what on earth could have taken place to make this woman seek this type of revenge?

Questions that need to be answered

When this is all over how will Nikki be affected? Will she need detox because of the alcohol and could her MS flair up again? Is Cole going to stick around and could he possibly reunite with Vicki or Ashley? Be sure to tune in to find out what happens next to the First Family of Genoa City. Keep in mind that Y&R will air a rerun on Thanksgiving and there will not be an episode on Friday. Hopefully, when the following week begins answers will come and Nikki's sage will be close to ending.
