Is The Young and the Restless Sending Lola to Miami For Good?

The Young and the Restless took a long time to bring the Kola marriage to a close. When they did, everything hit the fan at once. Kyle and Summer are together as expected but the fate of Theo and Lola is not so certain. Ever since her mother, Arturo and Mia left Genoa City, Lola has continued to be in contact with them. She speaks with her family on the phone and also visits occasionally. On Monday's episode of Y&R Abby expresses concern tat her good friend and chef may decide to return to her hometown for good. Ms. Rosales/Abbott explains that she will be opening a restaurant in Miami, but will continue to reside in Genoa City.

Lola’s fate is undetermined

The Young and the Restless writers have been going all out in an attempt to soften the blow for Kola fans. Kyle and Summer had a heart to heart with Jack where they expressed their sorrow that Lola was hurt and emphasized that now is their time. When Jack suggested they wait, the duo said there was no need because they are destined to be together. On Monday they run into Lola and manage to keep things civil. It seems everyone just wants to move forward. Later, when Theo offers a listening ear, Lola says she just wants to focus on cooking. The beautiful snd talented Sasha Calle deserves more than to be stuck In the Society kitchen, wearing those black pants, gray shirt and white cap every day.

The question now would be what The Young and the Restless plans to do with her for the long hall? Her brother Rey is settling down in Genoa City, working for the police department and in a relationship with Sharon. He had even formed a bond with Nicholas. Lola’s future is less certain and fans are putting out a number of scenarios on social media. There is a rumor that Lola might be pregnant and a small fraction of viewers think Kyle might regret his decision. Others believe Theo and Lola might hook up while some believe she will leave Genoa City for good. Although Lola insists to Abby that she is not going anywhere the viewers know anything is possible.

Miami is a possibility

Randomly Calle has been off screen three or four times since marrying Kyle and it was stated that she had gone to Miami. This could simply be Lola checking on her family or Y&R keeping that door open in case she leaves Genoa City for good. Fans would enjoy seeing Lola dressed up once in a while and wearing her hair in a style besides a ponytail. If she does eventually hookup with Theo perhaps she may get out of the kitchen more often. Everything depends on the long range goal the writers have for her. It’s clear that Kyle and Summer were going to finally become official without any games being played but Theo and Lola still hang in the balance. It’s clear they are both out of step in the world of the Newman’s and Abbott’s and more than likely will not be around much longer.

Those who enjoy Sasha Cale’s character will just have to wait and see what comes her way. In the meantime there really is no one in town who could be a love interest for her at this time, except Theo. Considering that she tells him on Monday she wants to concentrate on her cooking, it does not sound like she wants to move on yet. Spoilers indicate that a tragedy will take place involving Victoria, during Victor’s celebration. This probably means that focus for the next few weeks will be on the Mewman family. Lola fans would do well to keep their eyes open and pay attention to every detail where she is concerned.

Lola could just disappear

The Young and the Restless spoilers don’t always get word of everything that is about to take place and viewers often are blindsided by storylines that do not work out in the way they have been anticipated. The writers could place Lola front and center in a new direction or allow her to remain in the kitchen. There is also a posdibily that one of her trips to Miami May be extended and she have to help out with her mother or her young nephew. Don’t be surprised if the new restaurant in her home town needs more of her attention and one day she simply does not show up in Genoa City again. There have been a number of characters in Y&R who were on screen one day and gone the next. This happened last year to fan favorite Doug Davidson who plays Paul. Hopefully this will not happen to Sasha Calle but her fans should keep an open mind and not be surprised if it does.
