You Will Need

Food coloring - Neon colors work best! Water Baking soda Elmer's Glue White school glue Clear glue Hot water Toothpick Measuring cup Bowl

Steps to Make Slime

Pour 3/4 cup of water into a bowl. Add food coloring until you get the desired color. Stir well. Pour 1 cup of glue into your bowl. Stir well. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the bowl and mix together.

The slime should start coming together at this point, but if it doesn't, add more water (a tablespoon at a time) until you get something that looks like slime.

If it's too watery, add more glue (1/4 cup at a time). Once you have something that looks like slime, take it out of the bowl and knead it until there are no more large bubbles. You can add water or glue to make it smoother if needed.

Steps for Using ASMR Slime

Take your slime and place it onto a plate. Make sure your slime doesn't have a lot of air bubbles in it or else they'll be amplified when you record the video.

Add some clear glue on top of your slime and massage it into the slime using your fingers. Don't add too much clear glue, otherwise, it will take a long time to dry! Once you've added enough clear glue, flatten out your slime until it is relatively thin.

Add some hot water on top of your slime. Massage the hot water into the slime with your fingers, just like you did with the clear glue. Be careful not to burn yourself!

Once your slime has cooled down, take a toothpick and make small designs in it if desired. Make sure to leave it for at least an hour to let it dry. Once your slime has dried, you're ready to make your video!

Why is slime good for ASMR Videos?

ASMR slime is good for ASMR videos because it's something that you can play with. You can squish it, stretch it, poke at it, etc. Slime is also a sound trigger in ASMR videos because of how wet and slimy it sounds when you play around with it.

Be careful not to make your slime too watery or else your video will not have the desired effect. If you don't want to use food coloring, you can also try using glow-in-the-dark paint instead!
