San Diego Comic-Con has arrived, and so too have a flurry of announcements, confirmations and teasers. Of course, Marvel and Netflix's panel was no exception, revealing to fans and aficionados a ton of fun. The presentation was great for those of us sitting at home, as everything was announced simultaneously online. So sit back, pop your reading glasses on, and see how executive producers Joe Quesada and Jeph Loeb made your nerd dreams a reality:

Daredevil has officially been renewed.

Daredevil is one of the best — if not the best — superhero TV shows out there. That's why fans were understandably concerned when the series didn't get a renewal announcement following the (admittedly rocky) second season. Such a cancellation would have been especially frustrating, seeing as the finale had a cliffhanger ending. Well, that frustration can now be tossed out the window, as Quesada has officially confirmed that the show has in fact been marked for return!

Though it would make sense for Daredevil to follow its March/April release pattern, it looks like this season will be pushed back due to the upcoming Defenders (more on that later). With Iron Fist and The Defenders filling the quota for 2017, it's possible Daredevil's new season won't come out until 2018 (unless the shows released per year is bumped from two to three). But rest assured, you'll definitely be getting your Matt Murdock fix by 2017. Check out the teaser below.

While little is revealed, the Hell's Kitchen sign tells us that the titular hero will be staying true to his roots in the coming season. And did you notice that little tongue-in-cheek humor from the show's marketing department? The only number to get splattered with blood is the number 3.

Iron fist has a logo and a teaser.

News on the Iron Fist front has been pretty quiet thus far (aside from the show's announcement and casting), but it looks like Marvel is finally ready to let the dragon out of the bag. The logo is fairly simple, save for the dragon-shaped letter O. In fact, that dragon is probably the one we'll see on Danny Rand's costume. There's a more detailed image below:

Though the release date is still vague, it's safe to say the show will be out in time for spring 2017. The Defenders doesn't hit screens until each team member has been established in their own solo shows, and the two-shows-per-year rule still seems to apply. That should allow for the team-up series to drop in the fall, and Daredevil and Jessica Jones to return in 2018.

Marvel is trying to make the wait feel shorter for the fans by releasing a tantalizing teaser trailer, along with a decent amount of footage.

The video tells us a lot more than Daredevil's Season 3 trailer did, showing us a glimpse of young Danny with his mother, an accident that will likely serve as his origin, and what looks to be a mental institution. Also seen is a door being blown up (presumably by Iron Fist), and a creepy voice saying hello to our protagonist. Yeah, there's a lot coming from this show.

Mike Colter's Luke Cage debuted last year on Jessica Jones, but we didn't learn much about him (outside of a dead wife and his "skin condition"). The only footage we had was released immediately after the show, with Cage hitting up a gym, getting shot and expressing his annoyance. Well, that is, up until now. Marvel has just released the first trailer for the show!

Set to Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya," the trailer gives us everything it should. Just enough of the cast to tease audiences? Check. Luke taking what he needs, whether it be a car door or wall fixture? Check. Humor, action, dialogue? Check, check, check!

Unlike the other Marvel/Netflix shows, Luke Cage has a definitive release date of September 30, 2016. Anything important left out of this trailer (like Simone Missick's Misty Knight) will probably be revealed in the next two months or so, prior to the show's premiere.

The Defenders gets a logo, teaser and new synopsis.

Next year, the characters of Iron Fist, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will be joining forces in their own TV series The Defenders. And although it's yet to be confirmed, it's more than likely Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle will be joining them in some capacity. Plotwise, the most we have to go off is this intriguing synopsis:

Marvel's The Defenders will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, as they face their biggest threat yet.

Currently very little is known about the show, but we'll probably learn a lot more at this year's New York Comic Con in October.

In the meantime, Marvel has put together a wicked little teaser trailer, using stray sheets of paper and headlines to bring the four heroes together:

Daredevil is highlighted by the "Devil of Hell's Kitchen" newspaper headline, Alias Investigations references Jessica Jones, Seagate Prison represents Luke Cage, and a missed-call note mentions Danny Rand. But that's not the best part. As the word "Defend" appears, a certain shape surrounds it:

"You think the four of you can save New York? You can't even save yourselves."

The ominous dialogue from Stick is obviously referring to the previously mentioned big threat, and it's clear the Hand will be occupying that role. After its introduction in Daredevil, it looks like the ninja organization will finally become the antagonist it was meant to be. Basically, our heroes are in for some serious trouble.

To wrap up the fantastic presentation, a two-minute sizzle reel was shown, with Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage taking pride of place. All three characters have footage lifted from their shows, including Cage! In fact, I'd say we saw cooler footage in this reel than in his actual trailer. We got to see the villainous Cottonmouth, Luke copping a fist to the face, and even some of the supporting cast.

Once the explosions and gunfire died down, we were left wondering where our favorite antihero was. That's when Bernthal got his special time to shine. Although all his footage was recycled from Daredevil, it still showed us why this was the perfect man for the job and why we should be excited for his solo venture.

So nothing on Jessica Jones and The Punisher then?

While both Jessica Jones and Frank Castle were heavily featured during the panel, neither character showed up in any new footage. Though Jessica Jones's absence makes sense (Season 2 is still a long way off), it would be only fair for The Punisher to get some love. The show (kind of) did, with Bernthal making a brief appearance at the beginning of the panel. ComicBook.com liveblogged the panel, and here's what went down when Bernthal popped in:

Jon Bernthal has just taken the stage and a HUGE Punisher Logo is on the screen. Bernthal wants to see the clip again. Loeb tries to brush him off playfully, but Jon insists he plays it again."I know you're making a movie right now, but thanks for coming by," says Loeb. "What was it like when you found out you were going to play Frank Castle on Daredevil season 2?""I know how much this character means to everyone and it's a tremendous honor to be The Punisher," Bernthal answers.Loeb manages to get a Walking Dead jab in."Comic book fans are the greatest fans in the world, again I can't tell you how thankful I am for the feedback. Frank is in my bones now. It makes me love my family harder and if anything I am enormously grateful for this opportunity."What was it like when you found out you were going to get your own show," asks Loeb."Work. Work. Work. I'm ready," Bernthal exclaimed.Bernthal exits and Loeb introduces the Luke Cage team.

It may not have told us anything new, but it's still great to hear he made an appearance! Here's hoping he makes an appearance some other places, too!
