Kin Shriner keeps fans guessing

General Hospital viewers are up in arms because of a recent tweet made by Kin Shriner who has portrayed Scott Baldwin since 1977. Scott is currently representing Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) in his attempt to prove he is an heir to the Ice Princess diamond but viewers know Cody is really the son of Mac Scorpio. Shriner recently tweeted that Scott's time on the ABC soap is over which has his supporters believing he was abruptly fired but this may not be the case. Perhaps Cody's saga has come to an end and has already been taped. GH films episodes about 6 weeks in advance so Scott may have helped (or exposed ) Cody and now is out. Viewers are not sure because last December Shriner tweeted the following:

“Scotty’s run is done, so heading to Florida to ride Vespa around the tropics!”

Fans want to know what is really going on

Eventually, Scott returned to GH so the soap vet's post actually meant he took a break and went on vacation which could be the case this time. Spoilers all over the Internet are saying Shriner has been fired but has he really? When the soap vet posed last year that his character's time was up had the GH brass actually let him go and later had a change of heart? Does Shriner have it built into his contract that he only works so many months or years before taking a break or did he prank fans to get their attention? Perhaps his contracts with GH are only for a specified amount of time.

Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Genie Francis) have contracts allowing them to take time off during the summer. Finola is usually gone during the first part of the warmer months and Gnie disappears from the screen in late summer and returns in the fall.

Silence is not golden

Neither Shriner nor GH brass have directly said anything about this situation spreading like wildfire across social media platforms. Fans are posting that they think General Hospital should get rid of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) who fans say is getting on their nerves with her antics. Those who watch General Hospital just want to know the truth instead of being toyed with.

Ken Shriner is not the only soap actor to keep fans guessing as Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair ) from The Young and the Restless did the same. Y&R fans noticed the actress missing from the screen during the summer of 2022 and she teased that she was taking a much-needed vacation break but would be back. Next, she said on social media that something big was coming but did not say what.

The viewing audience does not like actors playing games

Fans were confused by Morgan's changing statements and some complained that they did not like games being played and wanted the actress to be upfront but it never happened. It was later announced that Morgan had left The Young and the Restless and would not be back because it was time for bigger things. The actress next announced she had a role on Chicago Med and that she was staying on the show and not going anywhere.

Her IMBd indicates she was only in 3 episodes and she did return to Y&R to bring closure to Amanda and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). It's not clear why Morgan felt the need to string her followers along and now General Hospital viewers are wondering if Kin Shriner is doing the same. Be on the lookout for updates related to Scott Baldwin's portrayer that confirm whether he really has been fired or will return.
