Tuesday night’s episode of ‘Greenleaf’ flipped the script on what many viewers thought they had figured out. Fans have been on social media, discussing the possibility that the young man Grace has taken into her home is not her biological child. A number of viewers thought the reason AJ did not want his parents to visit him in the hospital is that he was ashamed to have been scamming everyone. Another angle that was brought up on Facebook is that the young man who died was really the son Gigi had by Noah, and put up for adoption.

Numerous devotees of this OWN hit also said that AJ would need a blood transfusion which would reveal that Grace is not his mom. None of this came to pass in the third episode of season five, but AJ did drop a bombshell on his mother. Once Grace was finally allowed into the hospital room, her son revealed that he was raped in prison and now is HIV positive. There is no need for fans to panic and assume that he will die. Treatment for HIV and Aids has come a long way and the Greenleaf family has the money to give AJ the very best care. HIV and AIDS are no longer the death sentence they once were, so AJ might live on.

This revelation, however, changes the dynamic of the show and opens the door for additional bombshells to be dropped. This brings ion the question of whether or not the young man Grace had seen on her family's property is the one who sexually abused her son. AJ had a strong reaction to that photo of the deceased, and there is a reason why. He knows him from somewhere and it could have been in prison. It’s still not clear how that man ended up on the Greenleaf property and how he knew Grace’s name as she clearly did not know him. Another question fans have been asking is about the time of the mystery man's death. We know he perished the same day Grace saw him but was it before or after her encounter in the cemetery? Did Gigi really see this individual or was it his ghost, after the fact? This is one mystery that viewers are hoping will be resolved prior to the finale of the show.

Another point of conversation is that Greenleaf has been bringing back characters that have not been on the show for a while. All the secrets are turning the final season into a Pandora’s box. Fans are hoping that the writers will wrap up a lot of loose ends, but they could simply be giving the actors the curtesy of being in the final season. There is also the possibility that some of what is going on is laying the groundwork for the spin-off. So far during the first three episodes, here is what has taken place. Alex returned and has a daughter who may or may not belong to Jacob. Basie Skanks is allegedly deceased. His wife and sister were grilled by Jacob regarding the information he learned from Carissa.

Near the end of the episode. Tasha was talking to someone on the phone after Jacob left. Could it be that Basie is still in the land of the living? If so he may hold the answers that Jacob is seeking. When Jacob asked his dad, if he lured Basie and Tasha's father to his death, Bishop Greenleaf denied it. Some viewers believe the very dead Mac may take the fall for all the wrongdoing, whether he is innocent or guilty. Noah is back and seems to believe that because he left his wife, he and Grace can make a family unit for their son. Lady Mae is pushing this relationship without shame but Darius has also returned to the forefront. He and Grace seem on the verge of renewing their relationship. but things could go several different ways.

Judee continues to play cat and mouse with Phil and Charity, and at this point, no one can tell which woman, Pastor Demars will choose by the season-ending. Carissa is a woman scorned and on a mission to get big bucks from her inlaws and Bishop and Lady Mae are trying to start a new ministry. As the adults are dealing with their drama the Greenleaf granddaughter's are in the midst of issues such as losing virginity, betrayal, and sexing. Their parents and grandparents have no idea what is going on with Zora and her cousin Sophia. It was Zora's friend who brought up the fact that Sophia cannot ever have children, but what if, through some twist of fate she turns out to be pregnant from her one time encounter?

There are probably about seven episodes left and there seem to be too many irons in the fire. Some situations need to be tied up prior to the series finale in order for viewers to obtain closure. Many fans are wondering who else will return to the show and if Oprah will reprise her character of Lady Mae's sister before Greenleaf takes its final bow. Even if she does not, there will certainly be more blasts from the past who return to stir up trouble. Fans should hold on to the edge of their seats because Craig Wright, the shows creator likes to create a hype atmosphere prior to ending a show he has created. He did this with the series finale of Six feet under, so there will no doubt be can't miss episodes coming up.

Viewers will be watching to see if Grace ends up with Noah, Darius or neither. Is Basey really dead and if so will Jacob hook up with Tasha. Is Alex’s little girl a Greenleaf or was she telling the truth that Jacob is not her baby daddy? Will Lady Mae Marty Bishop or will new revelations tear them apart? Can the Greenleaf family successfully begin another church or will the Bishop be implicated in the death of Tasha and Basey’s father? Bishop Greenleaf has been showing signs of dementia and had a heart attack last season. He is s to Too much re-marry his wife and also begin a new church but it might be too much. All this stress could put him in the hospital or cause him to die. To find out the answers to these and more questions, continue tuning in each Tuesday night.
