Genoa City residents become aggressive in the search for Mariah on 'The Young and the Restless'

Viewers of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS have been troubled for weeks regarding the Mariah Copeland storyline. Fans of the CBS soap cannot believe that those who love the redhead have been so clueless to the fact that something was wrong. Tessa felt from the beginning that her significant other was in trouble but allowed the opinion of everyone else to keep her from acting sooner. Abby babbled on and on about how she smothered her surrogate and Devon simply seemed out of the loop regarding the child he donated his sperm for.

Sharon's mother's intuition and Rey's detective skills should have kicked in long before now but this week all of those who care for Mariah will become aggressive in their efforts to find her. Now that it is close to the time for the baby to be born everyone is in panic mode. Spoilers for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS indicate that the search will kick into high gear this week.

Kevin is going to use his tech-savvy in order to try to locate Maria's phone. Victor and Devon will use their resources in attempts to locate the pregnant woman and Stitc is going to share a lead that might be false. Ben Rayburn is the suspect that viewers believe is holding Sharon's daughter captive. Some who watch THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS think Nina is keeping her son's surrogate in captivity although there is no evidence to back this theory up.

Stitch is going to see a candy bar at the Chancellor mansion that is the kind Mariah enjoys eating. He will say he was at a local convenience store and saw a man purchasing quite a few of this brand.This would seem to imply that the captor is purchasing Mariah's favorite snack but there are problems with this logic. Thus far Ms. Copeland has only been shown with juice and prenatal vitamins on her plate. Not once has she been shown eating junk food.

This would not be a healthy choice to load up on chocolate bars while pregnant and it's not likely Mariah gave her captor a list of her favorite foods, although it's possible. If Stitch is lying it be can easily be proven by looking at surveillance footage from the time that he claims he saw the purchase being made.

Rey will naturally check out this lead and if it is false will throw suspicion on Ben Rayburn. When Devon reveals that Nate is the head surgeon position then Stitch will have to answer questions about why he lied. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS viewers have not been given any clues as to who the kidnapper is or why Mariah was abducted. Some have said that Stitch wants to be Abby's hero and get back into her good graces.

There are others who believe Ben wants to raise the child with his former wife because she miscarried when they were married.Spoilers indicate that Mariah will soon go into labor but its not been revealed where her baby will be born. Ben is a doctor but he cannot risk Mariah seeing his face so neither she nor her child is receiving proper care. The room she is in looks dated and if tis is some kind of clue no one has caught on yet. This week Mariah is going to grab her stomach as labor pains begin and spoilers tease that at that point her captor might be revealed. Those who enjoy the CBS soap are awaiting answers and want this storyline to be finalized. Sharon, Abby, Nina, Devon, Rey, and Tessa will be doing their best to bring Maria and her baby home again.
