Valentin's future is in jeopardy

Nikolas Cassadine has returned to Port Charles, and Spencer will be back on Monday. General Hospital viewers are elated at this turn of events but there is still a question that needs answering. Fans of the ABC daytime drama want to know what is going to happen to Valentin. The last time he was seen he was in police custody after learning that he is not really a Cassadine. It turns out Valentin is Helena’s son but did not belong to her husband Mikkos. In a cruel twist of fate, she has reached out from beyond the grave to ruin the life of her own biological child. There are now many questions that need answering regarding Valentin.

On social media, General Hospital fans are throwing out possibilities of what may happen to “Heir Cassadine” as Liesl Obrecht refers to the poser. Valentin told his lawyer Martin, that he would not submit to a DNA test but one could always be ordered by the court. Should it turn out that he indeed is not a blood Cassadine, he would lose all as Nikolas stated. At this point, Nina has called off the wedding and Charlotte is living with Lulu. The only person who is standing by the interloper is his attorney. Now that Nikolas is back, the man who tried to kill him has no right to anything with the Cassadine name and cannot legally contest what has just taken place. He may of course have a few holdings somewhere offshore in his own name.

Valentin is facing charges for a long list of crimes and viewers know he murdered Cassandra Pierce. It’s possible he may slither his way out of everything as most Port Charles criminals do, unless he is being written out of the show. Nikolas and Ava are not credible witnesses so the court may not believe that Valentin shoved her into the water and hoped she would drown. There is no proof that he blew up the boat that Cassandra was riding in so that won't stick either. Even so, life as he knows it is over and fans are eager to figure out what will happen next for Helena's son. Valentin always believed that the Cassadine matriarch hated him because he was not her son, but it turns out she loathed him because he did not belong to her beloved Mikkos.

Nina still loves him but it's possible she may move on with Jax once she has had time to process everything. Spoilers from Soaps She Knows through the end of January only mention Valentin once, to say that Martin will stick close with him. Everything else coming up seems to revolve around the Corinthos family and the other Cassadines. Viewers know that Valentin will do all he can to fight losing his lifestyle. This is why if a DNA test is ordered, it needs to be guarded closely. The situation with Sasha is proof of the lengths this man will go to in order to get what he wants. The entire truth will eventually come out and there probably will be more bombshell revelations.

Ava, Nikolas, Spencer, Laura and others probably are not finished extracting their pound of flesh from Valentin Cassadine. Even if he ends up penniless they will probably continue to taunt him. He shot Nikolas, murdered Cassandra, and tried to drown Ava. He has made life miserable for Laura and Lulu, and cost Spencer precious time away from his family. Curtis is trying to find Claudette, the surrogate who gave birth to Charlotte and spoilers suggest that there will be some surprises when she is found. One thing in particular has to do with the little girl who is the only person to bring out the human side to Valentin.

Charlotte loves her papa and does not want to be separated from him, but the rumor mill suggests that she may indeed find that her life with him is over. It's possible that Valentin may not be the biological father of the child he has been raising. It could be that spoilers misinterpreted and the big reveal was that Helena was the rogue Cassadine's birth mother. If Curtis does uncover proof that Charlotte is not Valentin's flesh and blood, this would be a double blow which would be devastating. Since spoilers are quiet, the fans will continue discussing the possibilities on social media forums. Continue watching General Hospital weekday afternoons on ABC at 2:00 PM EST.
