GENERAL HOSPITAL TEA recently polled viewers regarding whether or not they wanted Chase and BLQ to become a couple. You can see by the chart below that close to 90% of respondents agree that Brook Lynn Quartermaine and the police detective would be good together. Ned's daughter and doctor Finn's younger brother have been growing close to each other for quite some time. When they first met Chase was always arresting the Q heir for minor skirmishes and several times she punched him by accident.

Some fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL expected Brooke Lynn and Chase to have been much closer by now but the writers seem to be taking them around the long route. When Ned kicked her out Brook Lynn crashed on the detective's couch and the chemistry between them was evident. It's been easy to see how much BLQ cares but Chase is too wrapped up in Willow at this point.

Lately, since he was paralyzed Brook Lynn has been attentive to him and sharing her concerns with her cousin Michael. BLQ does not desire to see Chase damaged by revelations that soon will come to light about Millow. There is so much drama going on at the Quartermaine mansion with ELQ and each family member having his or her own issues and no let up seems to be in sight. Blue-collar hard-working Chase is not cut from the same mold as the ruthless millionaires and probably should run for the hills.

BLQ and Chase seem to be each other's confidants and they have one thing in common which is that both are surrounded by secrets and lies. It all began when Chase and Sasha pretended to have an affair so that Michael and Willow would marry. Instead of admitting their feelings for one another, Millow had their marriage annulled. Chase wrongly assumed that Willow still loved him but she only married him because she believed he was dying.

Chase now knows that Michael and Willow are sleeping together and are in love. Dr. Holt, however is pushing him to seek revenge. What Chase is not aware of is that Brook Lynn has been aware of the deception all along. He also does not know that BLQ's baby really belongs to Maxie and that Valentin is not the little girl's father. At some point, all of these secrets will come to light and a lot of people are going to be hurt.

There is also the fact that Chase knows that Austin is plotting behind the backs of Brook Lynn's family and the doctor knows that the detective is beginning to walk. Chase is contemplating helping Dr. Holt find evidence in Edward Quartermaine's office that proves he is a legal heir and should have shares of ELQ. Perhaps the fact that they have so many secrets is what will draw BLQ and Chase together.

When each of these things comes to light there will probably be a showdown at the Q home like never before. When things eventually are sorted out everyone will know that Chase can walk and Austin might have evidence that he was supposed to be in Edward's will. Michael and Willow can come clean about their love for one another and perhaps Chillow can end their marriage somewhat amicably.

When all is said and done and the dust settles perhaps Brook Lynn and Chase can explore the feelings they have for each other. Right now, Austin has Chase so full of thoughts of revenge that he cannot see what is right in front of him. Stay tuned to see if GENERAL HOSPITAL fans get their wish and a new couple emerges. It will be interesting to see what nickname they will come up with when combining Chase and Brook Lynn. Perhaps Chooklynn or Brace, neiter of which sounds very appealing.
