Wiley mystery is close to being solved

On Sunday, General Hospital viewers were stunned when Perry Shen implied on social media that he was leaving the ABC daytime drama. He now says his comments were a joke that went horribly wrong. Fans may have gotten a hint of the truth on Wednesday after Brad emerged practically unscathed and Lucas is in a medically induced coma. Celeb Dirty Laundry says that Shen apologized for the error which set off a firestorm of rumors regarding Wiley's future. The actor said he had no idea his statement would be interpreted in the manner that it was. Devotees of the Port Charles action were correct, however, in assuming that Lucas would end up in a coma, but it's not known if he will regain consciousness or will remember that Brad told him the truth about their son.

Nothing has been said about Ryan Carn leaving Genera Hospital so fans must take a wait and see approach where Lucas is concerned. On Wednesday it was an announced that Julian and Bobbie's son has brain swelling and was placed in a medically induced coma. Brad was wheeled into his husband's room by Bobbie so it looks like he is on the mend. In the meantime, Willow has been keeping Sasha in suspense for the last two episodes and seems unable to just say yes or no to the question of whether or not she is pregnant. If she is carrying Chase's child this may ease her pain when the truth about Wiley is revealed.

The writers are testing the patience of loyal General Hospital viewers by dragging this storyline out. It’s great that Michael had been spending time with Wiley/Noah but it’s been as his godfather. He has missed valuable time raising the child as his own son. Fans were hoping that once Sasha was revealed as a fraud, that Brad and Nelle’s lies would come to light. There are so many layers to this story that everything needs to come crashing down at once and get it all over with.

There is also the issue of the future for Brad and Lucas. They are front and center now but daytime drama shows don’t do well with keeping gay characters on the front burner. Brad may already suspect his father in law was behind the accident because of his response when Bobbie wheeled him into his husband’s room. Julian was asking Lucas to forgive him and very loudly Brad demanded to know why his father in law needed forgiving. Julian played it off by saying he was referring to all the lost time over the years. The question now is whether or not Mr. Jerome has learned his lesson about playing God or if he will make another attempt on his son in law’s life.

Monsters and Critics brings up the issue that is on everyone's mind and that is the fate of Lucas. Bobbie, a nurse is very concerned about his injuries so the question is whether he will live or die. Should Julian's son pass away, the secret will remain for a little while longer but Mr. Jerome will never be the same. He would be mortified to know he is the cause of his son's demise and never forgive himself. There is always the chance that Lucas will languish in the coma for quite some time and wake up with no memory. Either way this delays Michael being reunited with the son he had with Nelle. Speaking of Ms. Benson, spoilers say she will soon be cellmates with Sam. Perhaps during their conversations she might let something slip that will give Ms. Morgan a reason to be suspicious.

One has to wonder if Perry Shen implying he was leaving General Hospital may have been accidentally on purpose. Perhaps the actor is sensing the handwriting on the wall for his character and wanted the public to express how much they like Brad. Social media has brought out all kinds of responses when it comes to soap actors. When Mal Young fired Doug Davidson from The Young and the Restless, the viewers demanded Young be kicked to the curb and Davidson be rehired. The loyal fans got exactly what they desired. Be sure to stay tuned to the Port Charles drama each weekday afternoon on ABC at 2:00 PM EST. The saga of Wiley/Noah is getting pretty interesting and if nothing else, with each upcoming episode is day closer to being solved, no matter when that day comes.
