Shalexis fans have hope

When it comes to General Hospital, viewers never know whether certain situations are glimpses of the future or teasers. Such is the case with Shawn Butler and Alexis Davis. Both are in Pentonville prison and on Friday they ran into each other in the library. This could all be a coincidence and the two may not have much contact again but most viewers believe there a special meaning behind this chance meeting. Some fans are excited that the exes have found each other again but those who wanted Alexis with Julian are disappointed.

Julexis fans were shocked and outraged when William deVry, (Julian Jerome) returned to the show but he and Alexis were never reunited. The only love scenes between the duo was in a dream Alexis had. Eventually, deVry was fired from the ABC soap and his character murdered. The viewers who were waiting for their favorite couple to get back together felt cheated out of a steamy reunion.

Spoilers from Soap Dirt suggest that not only might Shalexis get back together but she may use her legal expertise to get Mr. Butler exonerated. The spoiler points out that Alexis needs a purpose that helping others is what she does best. If there is a way to bring up reasonable doubt that Shawn was the trigger man then Ms. Davis is the one who can do it. Should the entire truth be revealed, viewers know that Cyrus will get wind of it.

This would be just the leverage he needs to keep Nikolas under his thumb. Alexis, Ava, and Laura all warned the Cassadine prince that he would find himself never getting out from under Renault's thumb but Nikolas is not heeding the sage advice. General Hospital viewers are hoping that quite a few loose ends will soon be tied up and certain storylines come to a close.

In addition to Shawn being set free, Hayden needs to return to Port Charles so Violet will know her mother loves her. There is also the issue with Dr. Kim Nero allegedly having given birth to Julian's son. That plot seems to have been dropped, at least for now. Viewers recall that Kim slept with Franko who thought he was Drew and it's more likely that he would be her baby daddy. In the meantime, while GH fans wait for answers, some are hoping that Shawn and Alexis will rekindle the fire that once burned between them.

This will not be good news for Julexis fans, especially since Nancy Lee Grahn once said of her on-screen husband that nobody could throw her up against a wall like Julian. deVry and Grahn had strong chemistry and many viewers were hoping to see the couple sizzle steamy love scenes again. Alexis began dating Neil Burn who died of an overdosed and later Julian was killed by Sonny. Now soap fans are wondering if Julian and Neil might have been killed off so that Shawn Butler could take their place?

If the writers do bring Shalexis back together, there would be creative ways for the two to interact while they are in Pentonville. The old saying of where there is a will there is a way could definately come into play. Soap Opera SPy suggests that the duo will reunite and that the mob lawyer will indeed get Shawn out of jail. Shalexis are only the tip of the iceberg regarding all that is about to happen in Port Charles.

While they are dealing with prison life, Jason will be escaping from General Hospital with Dr. Britt Westbourne and Celeb Dirty Laundry teases there may be a shootout. Cyrus will soon be trying to find the duo by any means possible and somehow, someway, Alexis and Shawn are sure to be mixed up in the fallout. Be sure to tune in to General Hospital weekday afternoons to find out what happens next with the action and adventure in Port Charles.
