'General Hospital' couples may shift direction

General Hospital viewers are beginning to express their disappointment regarding the direction of a number of Port Charles couples. Storylines have quite a few people in limbo and spoilers are suggesting all kinds of wacky hookups. One thing that is constant on the soaps is change. This was proven when on The Young and the Restless the character of Chance Chancellor was written out on weeks after he married Abby Newman and they were planning on having a baby. The writers often make decisions that fans disagree with so let's take a look at some of the possibilities in Port Chuck and see where they may lead.

Dante and Sam

Dante and Sam began bonding over Wiley, who the half brother they have in common. Dante and the child share Olivia as a mother and Sam and the both had the late Julian Jerome for a dad. Jason's ex has been hovering over the former police detective and trying to find out why he saved Franco's life. Spoiler alerts have teased that these two could end up as lovers, only for Lulu to wake from her coma. Will the connection between them be enough to pull Sam away from Jason and Dante from his former wife ? Only time will tell but for now, these two are in close proximity because of Franco, Peter, and Wiley.

Chase and Sasha

Detective Chase and Sasha have been waiting to get back together with Willow and Michael for quite a while. They never stopped loving their exes and have been vocal about desiring to reunite. During this time some GH viewers have suggested that Sasha and Chase might fall in love, but so far they continue to only be friends. Anything could happen in the future but it all hinges on the decision that is made by Michael and Willow who can't seem to let go of each other.

Michael and WIllow

The school teacher and Carly's son have been connected ever since they met at a grief support group. Their fake marriage was finally consummated and now they seem to have a bond that cannot be broken. They have decided to do what seems right and annul their marriage. Willow is moving to the Quartermaine guest house and they both want to give Chase and Sasha another chance. General Hospital viewers, as well as spoilers, are suggesting that Michael and Willow are afraid to follow their hearts and will eventually find their way back to one another. There are also suggestions that these two could become parents from their one night of passion which would seal the deal.

Jordan and Marcus

Real Andrews asked his socil media followers a few weeks back if they would enjoy seeing Jordan and Taggert become romantic. Curtis is playing hardball with his wife and not giving her any reason to believe he will ever return home. This could indeed push the two former partners together into the relationship they restrained themselves from decades ago.

Curtis and Portia

Portia has been trying to push Curtis into reuniting with his wife. At the same time, she has been hard on Jordan for making everyone's life miserable. Dr. Robinson does want the police commissioner to release her daughter's father from prison so the two can work on rebuilding their relationship. Curtis and Portia continue to cross paths and some General Hospital viewers believe they might reunite. If it turns out later that Trina is the biological daughter of Mr. Ashford that might be what brings them back together.

Anna and Valentin

Anna and Valentin's relationship has come a long way and now they are each other's confidants. They have secrets that they have not shared with anyone else. Some who watch General Hospital have suggested that Mr. Cassedine would be a better partner for Ms. Devane than Dr. Finn. Right now, Valentin knows the truth about Peter but is keeping quiet. Once it all comes out, Anna might resent him for not confiding in her. She also may understand Valentin's desire not to inflict any more pain on her or Maxie and this might draw them together. Whether these two become involved or not, the majority of GH viewers say that Finn and Anna are not going to work out.

Robert and Olivia

Jackie Templeton is an old flame of Robert Scorpio but there does not seem to be any sparks between these two. There does, however, seem to be something heating up between the Port Charles DA and Oliva Quartermaine. If she does not forgive Ned for cheating on her, she might turn to her new buddy Robert for comfort. General Hospital fans are divided regarding which man they believe is best for Olivia.

Britt and Jason

Spoilers have suggested that Britt and Jason's business arrangement could lead to romance but fans do not see this happening. Jason still loves Sam and will probably restrain himself from falling for anyone else. Once Obrecht is cleared and Cyrus and Peter get what's coming to them, Jason and Britt will have nothing to keep them together. Even so, sifJaSam does not reunite it's only normal that Stone Cold will fall for someone else and viewers hope it will not be Carly.

Scott and Obrecht

Some GH fans are saying that a hookup between Franco's dad and his best friend would be hilarious. Right now Obrecht and Scott are harboring the secret of what really happened to Dr. Kirk. There is no way to know if this will come to light because Valentin was never revealed to have murdered Cassandra Pierce. There would be some comic relief with Scott and Liesl dating but who knows they could potentially fall in love.

Maxie

Spoilers first suggested that Maxie and Spinelli would reunite after he revealed the evil deeds by Peter. The Jackel, however, has not been around for quite some time and others are in place to bring down Faison's son. There were also rumors that Brando and Maxie might get together and he becomes a stepfather to her 3 children. At this point, there is nothing to suggest anything between them but time will tell.

Carly

The rumor mill went wild with accusations that Carly would end up in bed with Jax or even Jason before Sonny is revealed to be alive. Right now she is simply trying to get herself together to hold a service for her "deceased" spouse. She is also concerned that Nina might find out the truth of her being the last person to see Nell and accuse her of murder.

Nina

General Hospital viewers disagree on whether Nina will get back together with Jax or Valentin. A few weeks back spoilers suggested that Ms. Reeves and her bestie Curtis might cross the line. The botom line to all of these scenarios is that there is no clear direction for any of the players who are involved. General Hospital fans desire to see some true love and romance and not all these possibilities that might not turn into anything. Be sure to stay tuned to find out what happens next.
