General Hospital fans were bracing for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to attack Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and throw her under the bus because Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) allegedly died on her watch. Instead, viewers witnessed a tender scene between the two women on the bridge. Carly actually apologized for earlier blaming Dr, Westbourne for Jason's death and admitted that her BFF had feelings for Britt. In return, Britta said she understood the bond between Jarly and the two women leaned on each other,so perhaps the animosity between them will subside.

The same cannot be said regarding Carly and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) who will soon engage in a violent altercation. Spoilers don't say whether or not this will be only verbal or if it turns physical. What is clear is that the longer it takes the truth to come out about Mike and Nina in Nixon Falls the angrier Carly will be.

Sonny understood about Jason and Carly because they thought he was dead and they had been best friends for decades. Nina, however, took advantage of the fact that Mike had amnesia and withheld his true identity. She allowed his family to grieve for 9 months and Carly can never forgive her. Once the truth is revealed Carly will be repulsed that even without his memory that Sonny could ever love Nina. She will be furious that the situation happened and hurt that Sonny did not come clean earlier.

Carly can sense that something is going on based on the way her husband defends Nina and does not give he straight answers. Each time she pushes for clarity something happens. When it looked like Sonny was about to pen up about Nixon Falls, Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) showed up and he walked away. At other times there have been knocks on the door or various interruptions that prevented Sonny from coming clean. Now they are dealing with being told that Jason did not survive the building collapse.

In addition, Carly is not pushing for answers as hard as she might so perhaps she is afraid of what her spouse might tell her. Spoilers say at least one situation is coming up soon where Sonny will have to referee between his wife and his almost lover. Nina will try to play nice and offer condolences for Jason but this is only going to anger Carly and she will say that Ms. Reeves knows nothing about her relationship with her former best friend.

This may be leading up to a big blowout between the two women and perhaps between now and then Nina might get a spine. She is always sad, crying, and playing the victim. She cowers whenever Carly is near and never realizes that she has the trump card. Nina can blow Carly's world apart by telling Mrs. Corinthos that Mike was in love with her in Nixon Falls. Nina won't do that because she wants to honor Sonny's wishes and keep the secret.

Carly might argue that as Mike her husband did not know what he was doing and push the point that he was taken advantage of. At some point, Sonny will have to admit that he still has feelings for Nina. Viewers can see it in the tenderness he displays whenever they are alone together. Most of those who watch General Hospital are saying they do not want to see Sonny with Nina but it looks as if the storyline is heading in that direction. Spoilers have said the two will bond at Charlie's pub while checking on Phyllis.

They have already had a few moments together that Carly is not aware of and she will blow her top should she find out. It's nice that Carly buried the hatchet with Britt and is not holding a grudge because of Jason. This means that all of her anger, pain, grief and rage over losing her best friend will now surely be directed at one person and that is Nina so stay tuned.
