Dominic Zomprogna wants to return to Port Charles

Soap Hub is reporting that a former actor from General Hospital is reconsidering his choice to leave the ABC daytime drama and now wants back in. Dominic Zamprogna walked away from his character in 2018 but now desires to bring Dante Falconeri back to Port Charles. When the actor left his popular role two years ago, many fans were distraught. Donte and Lulu were a beloved couple and fans wanted them to stay together. Zamprogna returned to the show last year, but only for a few episodes, to bring closure. Soap Hub says he’s recently been talking to executive producer Frank Valenti about returning.

Viewers were very upset when Zomprogna followed the lead of Ryan Paevey who left his role as Nathan West. Paevey has remained busy as go host on Extra and appearing in 4 Hallmark movies. His character Detective Nathan West was killed . Dante is receiving treatment for PTSD from the WSB. While in Port Charles Nathan and Dante were partners and best friends. Their wives Maxie and Lulu continue to be besties. Both actors left General Hospital for other pursuits but it does not look as if Zamprogna has as much success as Paevey. There is no information listed regarding his taking on other roles after he left GH. Dante’s mother Olivia would be elated to see him as would his father Sonny and son Rocko.

Lulu could have mixed emotions of her husband comes home because it was Dante who initiated their divorce. She fought hard for her marriage and had a difficult time accepting that it was over. Lulu also dealt with animosity ftom Olivia who felt she should not move on with her life and should wait for Dante to get better. Eventually Lulu decided to move on with Dustin. Olivia continues to have a hard time with her daughter in laws decision. Ned’s wife has always felt in her heart that her son would recover from PTSD and come back to Port Charles. It’s looking like she may have been right all along.

Ryan Paevey

Dominic Zomprogna said he recently cried when he spoke with Maurice Bernard who portrays his TV dad Sonny. He added the he loves the ABC daytime drama as well as his cast mates and misses them. Some fans may be wondering why, If he felt that strongly about the show and his television family didn’t he stay in the first place. Some will probably come to the conclusion that the actor needed a steady paycheck , period. Ryan Paevey seems to be working steady with Hallmark and probably does not want her s GH character resurrected from the dead. Dante was not killed off so it looks like the door was left open and now Zamprogna could step through it.

When he first left General Hospital, Zomprogna said he was not sure what the fate of his character would be. If Dante has a miracle recovery he will find his former stomping grounds vastly different. Life in Port Charles has changed and Dante might have a hard time fitting in. His last partner Detective Chase just lied to Willow that he slept with Sasha in order to push his girlfriend in Michael’s direction. He has a new nephew in Wiley who was just revealed to be Michael’s son. Lulu is sleeping with Dustin and Maxie is head over heels for Peter August and Sonny is fighting drug kingpin Cyrus Renault.

His former boss, Jordan the police commissioner is in deep with the new drug Lord, and his stepdaughter Charlotte is acting out. Robert Scorpio is the new DA and his brother Mac is the lead Detetive. Zamprogna fans would be delighted to see his character back on General Hospital. His detractors would say since he left he should remain absent from his former stomping grounds. Whether he comes back or not will be determined by Frank Valetti so stay tuned. What do you think a General Hospital fans?
