Delon de Metz is recast as Zende on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful“

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have complained for some time about favorite characters placed in the background and the lack of diversity on the show. Beloved characters like Charlie, Pam. and Donna are rarely seen. Black and brown cast have been introduced, but never stick around, or are seen infrequently. Maya Avant, her mom Vivienne and dad Julius, Xander, Nicole, Zende, Zoe, Carter, Justin, Detective Sanchez, Dr, Buckingham, and Seargent Baker are but memories at this point. Soap Dirt, however, is now reporting that one former B&B actor, a person of color will soon return to the LA. fashion world.

The role of Zende Forrester Dominguez will be recast and Delon de Metz will take over as Eric Forrester’s grandson through adoption. Zende was formerly portrayed by Rome Flynn who left the show to pursue other acting venues. Soap Dirt suggests that members of the Avant family may also return but fans will have to wait and see. Zende went to Paris with Nicole to work for the family business but there has been no confirmation that she is coming back to LA with him. If she does, perhaps Julius, Vivienne, Maya and Lizzie may show up at least from time to time. No details regarding the storyline had been given but if Zende is coming back there is a reason.

Soap Dirt did not say whether this would be a contract role so the adopted Forrester could disappear and reappear on just like his uncle Thorne. Zende was an orphan whose parents and younger brother died of aids. Kristen Forrester and her husband Tony Dominguez met him while honeymooning in Africa. They had compassion on the child because Tony happened to be HIV positive. While in LA they decided to go back to Africa and adopt Zende, giving him both of their last names. A few years back Zende came to LAcas an adult. He began dating Nicole Avant who was a virgin but became a surrogate mother for her sister Maya and brother in law Rick Forrester.

The couple began having problems related to Nicole carrying her sister's baby. Zende later sleeps with Nicole’s best friend and half-sister Sasha. There was also the issue of Nicole finding out that she will not be able to have any more children but they worked things out, married, and later moved to Paris to work for the Forrester overseas division. It’s possible that Zende and Nicole have broken up and he may return home alone. This is what happened with Maya when she and Lizzie returned to LA without Rick. Perhaps he could be a new love interest for Zoe if she does not fall for Carter who helped her when she dumped Thomas.

Right now the Forrester family is dealing with a lot of drama. Quinn keeps meddling in the relationship of Brooke and Ridge trying to push her best friend Shauna into the arms of her husband's son. "Bridge" is separated and Forrester Creations will soon be dealing with the fallout from the reveal that Sally Spectra was never dying. They all had sympathy for her and she was scamming them all in an attempt to get Wyatt away from Flo. Sally was using a walker and putting on pale makeup so that she would look as though she were dying. Zende will find that his family is dealing with a lot of issues that he may not want to be a part of.

Delon de Metz is an American actor whose ethnicity includes Dutch and Caribbean. He was born in Manhattan, New York, and graduated with honors from Harvard University, where he obtained a degree in economics. If the actor looks familiar it’s because he also had a role in Zoo. De Metz being added to The Bold and the Beautiful, gives viewers an additional mystery to unravel. Why is Zende returning to LA, how long will he stay, what current storyline will he be involved in or will he have one all of his own. If Nicole does not return with him, could he be a possible love interest for someone else on the show? There had been rumors that he and Maya would grow closer prior to the move to France. That however was not the case so who knows what’s going to happen.
