'Days of Our Lives' spoilers for August 31-September 4

Days of Our Lives is the only daytime drama that did not go off the air because of the pandemic. The NBC soap kept right on rolling along because they had about 8 months worth of shows taped in advance. For this reason, the intriguing storylines did not miss a beat. Soaps She Knows at Soaps.com indicates that the great episodes will continue and that several former Salemites will be coming back between now and the fall. These include JJ Devereaux, Tripp Johnson, and Jan Spears. Tripp will visit Steve and Kayla and also run into someone he met while away.

Spoilers indicate that this will have an effect on many people in Salem. In the meantime here is what viewers can expect for the week of August 31-September 4. On Monday Phillip will reconnect with Lucas and Kate and as Marlena is sitting at John's bedside, she will too be reunited with a loved one. Victor will be facing a difficult decision and Bonnie will be there for Justin after he finds out that Sonny will be leaving Salem. On Tuesday, Sonny and Will are going to say farewell to Salem and Sami has a surprise witness who will help her case. Xander and Phillip will battle for the position of CEO of Titan as Marlena and Brady play catch up.

On Wednesday Marlena will assist Ben in obtaining answers, Shawn and Belle will deal with an old enemy. Nicole has big problems in court, and the fate of Cierra is made known. On Thursday Ben remembers some important information, Vincent confesses something shocking to Ciera, Belle and Sami square off and Kristen comes back to Salem. On Friday, Eli is distressed when he finds out Lani is helping Sami, Steve and Kayla deal with a surprise intruder, and Gwen tries to gain sympathy from Chad. Jake pays Ben a visit at the police station and Brady and Kristen disagree regarding her coming to Salem. Now we come to the fall previews for Days of Our Lives from Soap Opera Digest.

During the custody battle, Sami is going to call on a surprise witness to testify against Nicole. This individual will have a profound effect on Sami's loved ones and will turn court hearing upside down. Gwen will attempt to become friends with Abby and will become a nanny for Chad and Abigail's children. Gwen will have a secret agenda for wanting to be a part of the DiMera family which will be revealed in time. As John is recovering he will become very emotional and might say some things that will affect his relationship with Marlena. Lani will come to the rescue of Kristen who gets caught back in Salem and intervene to keep Kristen out of prison.

This might backfire on her and cause Lani problems with EJ. Ben, Shawn, and Hope will embark on a desperate search for Ciera. Shawe is also going to feel intimidated by Phillip's presence in Salem because of Belle but the spoilers say someone else is going to interfere in the couple's relationship. Bonnie is going to develop feelings for Justin when he assists her in getting her book published. Her resemblance to Adrienne could lead to a romance between the two. Sarah will find herself caught in the middle between Xander and Phillip and their fight for the Titan CEO position. It sounds like some great episodes are coming up so stay tuned.
