Soaps She Knows just revealed that Tamera Price will return to Days of Our Lives for her daughter's wedding. Actress Marilyn McCoo will reprise her role as the former love of Abe Carver who gave birth to his daughter. McCoo's real life husband Billy Davis Jr. will join her for the marriage of Lani to Eli. Spoilers from Soap Dirt indicate that Gabby may show up so there will probably be some fireworks. McCoo's first appearance as Tamera on Days of our Lives was on August 21, 1986. She had been a college roommate of Marlena Evans and surprised her by showing up in Salem for Dr. Evans' wedding to John Black.

Tamara was rushing to the wedding and cut off John’s best friend/ best man, Abe Carver with her vehicle. The duo got off on the wrong foo but eventually began dating. A man named Coleman came to town looking for Ms. Price and Abe had him investigated. It turned out he was married and had no desire to leave his wife. This is why Abe was shocked when Tamera abruptly decided to leave Salem with Coleman. On September 25, 2015 Lani Price showed up as a cadet joining the Salem police academy. When Abe saw her he noticed that her eyes were just like Tamera's. Later, when he saw an image of his ex on Lani's computer she admitted that Lani was her mother and Abe her father.

Abe and his newfound daughter had a number of ups and downs but finally developed a relationship. In November 2019. Eli Grant asked Lani to marry him and Marilyn McCoo reprised her role as Tamera after 32 years to attend the nuptials. Her husband Billy Davis joined her in Salem as Eli's FBI mentor, Billy. Gabi put a stop to the wedding and may try it again. Spoilers tease that Ms. Hernandez will crash her ex husband's wedding but no further details have been given. If Julie sees her things will become difficult pretty. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday and find out if the wedding takes place.

Perhaps Tamera and Billy may even sing for the event. Davis founded the 1960's group The Fifth Dimension and McCoo was one of the members. They later began singing as a duo and had a top 10 hit song with "You don't have to be a star to be in my show."Soap Dirt indicates that all Gabby has on her mind is getting Stefon back by helping Jake regain his memory and obtaining a DNA test. If true she may not cause problems for the Elani. The spoiler teases that the wedding will take place and the happy couple will go off on a honeymoon. Days of Our Lives had enough episodes taped so they did not go on hiatus as the other three remaining daytime drama shows.

If they had stopped taping, then Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, would not be able to come back for the wedding. Abe would not be giving his daughter away and Julie, John, Dr. Rolph and Marlena possibly would not be in any upcoming scenes. It has been rumored, although not confirmed that actors over age 65 will not be allowed to tape any episodes for some time. If this is accurate then viewers of all the soaps will be missing key beloved cast members. The NBC daytime drama will have to comply with the post COVID-19 rules that other shows have said are now standard. Actors must have hand sanitizer with them at all times, will work fewer days each week and fewer hours in the day.

They will also practice social distancing and be tested at least once a week for the coronavirus. Crew members will work from behind plexiglass and will use social distancing. Brad Bell announced that The Bold and the Beautiful will use the real life partners of the cast for love scenes, along with camera's that take long shots. Bell also said they might use blow up dolls. The Young and the Restless and General Hospital have not yet given details regarding how they will deal with romantic scenes. Stay tuned for updates regarding Days of Our Lives and be sure to watch Wednesday's episode to see Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. back in Salem,
