Susan Banks Evolution

Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) is in big trouble as she has just been turned into a black cat by possessed Marlena Evans. This quirky character was portrayed by Eileen Davidson from November 4, 1996 to April 8, 1998, and she reprised the role in 2014 and 2017. Davidson reprised the role for the five-episode Peacock Streaming Service Series Days of Our Lives beyond Salem. Susan is the eccentric yet lovable mother of Elvis "EJ" DiMera. Stefano DiMera dressed up as Elvis Pressley and had sex with Susan who believed the king of rock and roll sired her son. Brynn Thayer took over the role of Susan for one brief appearance on December 7, 2011.

Susan Banks Is In Big Trouble

Davidson returned several times in the role over the years but in August 2018 Stacy Haiduk debuted in the role and left in November of that year. Haiduk last appeared in August 2019 but returned in February 2021. On Wednesday, November 10 Susan came face to face with the devil and she confronted Marlena who is possessed. The evil one did not want her to reveal his true identity so he yanked her cross out of her hands and turned her into a cat. Days viewers are expressing humor at this turn of events and wondering how Susan will get out of her predicament.

DOOL Increase The Drama

Susan is used to finding herself in tight spots and has gotten into a lot of mischief over the years like impersonating Kristen DiMera and marrying John Black. She also kept Will Horton from his family when he had amnesia and convinced him he was her son EJ. Marlena and Kristen have developed a bond and this is what helped Susan determine that her friend was not standing in front of her and had been taken over by the devil.

Susan will be free

DOOL spoilers indicate that Susan will return to her human form and do her best to free John Black who is chained in the DiMera vault. She will not be successful in her first attempt but eventually, all will be well. Spoilers have teased a Christmas miracle but it's not clear if that will be the end of the evil. Possessed Marlena has targeted the unborn child of Ben and Ciara Weston and Susan has told the couple that there is danger surrounding their child.

Susan Banks premonitions make a difference

Susan had gotten herself into hot water several times when she traded places with Kristen DiMera. Kate Roberts once attacked Ms. Banks because she assumed it was Kristen in disguise. Susan uses her powers of premonition for good as when she warned Marlena that Brady Balck would be shot and he was. On Thursday, Shawn and Belle Brady tried to convince Ben and Ciara that Susan uses projecture and that her predictions are vague. It's even possible that should Ben's father Clyde Weston return to Salem before Susan is back in human form, Ciara and her husband might believe he is the threat Susan was referring to.

Spoilers are not yet detailing exactly how all of this will work out but Susan being turned into a cat has viewers in stitches. The possession storyline is not popular but Days Of Out Lives fans always love it when Susan Banks is in Salem. There is never a dull moment when this comical woman is around. Perhaps Susan will be able to lead someone to John who can unchain him and he can put a stop to Marlena's reign of terror. One thing that is certain is that Susan will entertain as long as she is on the screen.
