Conner Newman saves a Kitten

Conner Newman has been portrayed as a demon seed child in recent months on The Young and the Restless. He manipulates his parents and even lied on Sharon. Walnut Grove Rlementsry school no longer wants him as a student and therapy has not seemed to be working. Conner locked his half brother Christian in a closet and it began to look as if Bictor’s grandson was the type of kid who might hurt small animals. On Christmas, however, a different side of “Chaddam’s” son emerges, one that makes him seem like a normal young boy after all.

This holiday episode is scheduled for Monday December 30th, but the preemptions may cause the program not to air until Tuesday or even New Year’s Day. Soaps She Knows indicates that a new episode is scheduled for January 1st so be sure to tune in that day to see what programming is actually shown. . Whenever it is shown, viewers will see that Conner has found an animal in the snow that he brought home and named Oliver. The potential pet was wrapped in a blanket and lying inside a box so that it could not be seen. Many viewers may even have believed that Oliver was a dog.

Adam and Chelsea tried to prepare their son for the worst by saying that it might be too late and this could be Oliver’s time. Chelsea says perhaps his little body could not handle the extreme cold and Conner became frantic. He repeatedly asked his parents to stop saying that the animal might not make it. They try to redirect him by saying that he did a good thing by rescuing an abandoned animal. When they once again attempt to suggest that the death of the animal is imenent, Conner shushes then and that point the sound of meowing can be heard.

Conner goes over to the box and pulls out a kitten as his parents look at each other in stunned silence. It’s obvious they honestly believed there was no coming back for the feline but their son’s faith has been rewarded. Conner received a Christmas miracle and Oliver will more than likely end up being his pet. This was but one of several heartwarming holiday moments on The Young and the Restless. During the same episode, a homeless mother leaves her baby girl in a basket on the hay at the Newman ranch. Victor calls Nate and Elena to examine the child because he and Nikki don’t want to child protective services to become involved on Christmas Day.

Just as the doctors deem the baby is healthy, the mother returns and shares her story of being abandoned by her baby daddy. She has no job and was sleeping in her vehicle. She saw the size of the Newman ranch and knew the people inside would be able to care for her baby girl whose name is joy. Nikki informs her that she works with an organization that helps people get back on their feet and will see that the mother and child obtain the assistance they need.

On Friday’s episode of The Young and the Restless the Abbott family also witnessed a holiday miracle when Dina began singing along with Traci on O Come All Te Faithful. It was a truly beaut moment but viewers know that eventually Madame Metgeton will succumb to Alzheimer’s disease. Ehat’s not clear is what the writers intend to do with Conner. Christmas might be a breakthrough for Adam and Chelsea’s son or he could snap at a later date and even hurt Oliver. Hopefully things will not go in that dark direction and the child can regain some sense of normalcy. Be sure to tune in each day at 12:30 PM EST to find out which episodes are actually airing.
