Conflicting reports about John McCook's B&B future has viewers concerned

Recent news suggests the actor s about to retire while other reports saw he will be around for at least 3 more years.

Will he stay or will he go?

There are two different stories currently beign reported about veteran soap actor John McCook (Eric Forrester). McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brook Logan Forrester), are the only 2 original cast members of The Bold and the Beautiful still on the CBS soap. Celebrating the Soaps is reporting that the big fashion show might be Eric's swan song. Thirty six years on one show is a long time so it's possible McCook has desired to pack it in.

McCook is 79 and there are actors much older who are still on daytime television. Eric Braden (Victor Newman) on The Young and the Restless is 81 and says he will never retire. His character Victor just came out of retirement to take over the reins of Newman Enterprises again. Bill Hayes (Doug Williams) on Days of Our Lives is 98 and recently had scenes with the legendary Dick Van Dyke, who is 97. Van Dyke has recently been revealed as the father of John Black who is portrayed by Drake Hogestyn, 69.

Does McCook have 3 more years on B&B?

Daily Celeb Stars, however, is reporting a different story and states that McCook signed a 3-year contract in September that guarantees he will be on The Bold and the Beautiful until 2026. If this is true then why does B&B have the storyline with Eric's shaking hands as if he is having a medical crisis? Eric is also saying the Cotour fashion line will be his last which suggests he might step down after it is all over.

This suggests that Eric might retire even if John McCook does not. If the actor's contract has him given less screen time and his character is no longer working in the fashion industry then what role will he have on B&B? Fasns have already seen enough of Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and her "Honey Bear" so at thsi point what is left for the Forrester patriarch?

Fans are curious about what is going on?

B&B fans are wondering if Brad Bell and his team of writers are teasing the fans with a storyline that suggests the Forrester Creations founder is on his way out? Viewers are wondering about the root cause of the tremors and if Eric may have Parkinson's disease. If the actor has at least 3 more years on the soap how will this medical crisis be resolved?

Last year Eric was dealing with erectile dysfunction but it turned out that he only had problems with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) which some fans found unbelievable and had no trouble with intimacy with Donna. McCook even told his followers that he was not having ED issues in real life. The implied message was that Eric could not be with his wife whom he told to have an affair with Carter Walton ( Lawrence Saint-Victor). He could however function with Donna and commit adultery with her.

There are so many possibilities

Will Eric win the fashion competition and remain at Forrester Creations or will he lose to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), feel defeated, and step aside? If Eric comes out the winner will it be enough to lead him to walk away and admit he is having trouble with his hands? Will the truth about his medical condition come out and is is serious? Will it lead to Ridge forcing his dad to step away from the family business or bring them closer together? Be on the lookout for updates related to both John McCook and Eric Forrester as well as the upcoming fashion show battle on The Bold and the Beautiful.

This is gross fake news. The sites "reporting" the new contract are citing an article from 2016 that because of Google's new (AKA worse) search algorithm that puts old popular stuff up top. The other 3 sites reporting it are known fake news sites -- and now you're copying their fake news. #fail Do your own homework and don't trust garbage churn sites with low reputations...
