Morgan Corinthos showing up in Port Charles would be most illogical.

Bryan Craig is ready ti return to daytime drama

Some General Hospital fans have been saying for quite a while that Morgan Corinthos should return to the show. Ever since his untimely death when Julian Jerome's car blew up his fans have desired to have him back in Port Charles. Those sentiments are being voiced yet again now that Mike Corbin has died. A number of fans believe that it would bring comfort to Sonny and Carly to find out their youngest son is alive. Others however do not consider this to be a good idea and don't want the writers to bring Morgan back from the dead.

Within the last month, several news outlets have been reporting that actor Bryan Craig is open to returning to Port Charles. On Twitter, Craig has announced that he is ready to go back to work and would work for any of the four remaining daytime drama shows that would have him. Perhaps his thinking has something to do with his former girlfriend, Kelly Thiebaud recently going back to GH as Britt Westbourne.

If Craig is willing, able, and ready to work then by all means he deserves to find employment. What he does not need to do, however, is a return to General Hospital as Sonny and Carly's son. It might sound good in theory that Michael's little brother would be the best thing for the grieving family, but when you weigh the pros and cons, this is a situation when the dead should remain buried. First of all, General Hospital has been carefully having Morgan's family grieve and come to terms with his death. It has taken two years for them to get this far and right now if he came back it would be too much considering all the other turmoil the Corinthos clan is going through.

During the past two years, Morgan's family has gone through hell and high water and now are dealing with the death of Mike. If Morgan were to return this would interrupt the healing process that viewers are expecting where Sonny is concerned. The entire family is devastated to lose Mike but now that he is gone they must pick up the pieces and move on. Morgan would be an unnecessary distraction and would detract from several connecting storylines that are already in progress. Michael is married to Willow and they are slowly but surely falling in love. They are going to raise Wiley together at the Quartermaine mansions.

Joss has done a great job of accepting that Oscar, Morgan, and now Mike have all passed on and she is about to move forward with her friends. Ava who is blamed for Morgan spiraling out of control could absolve her guilt if her young lover were to show up alive and well, but she too has been through trauma with Ryan Chamberlain and losing Kiki. Ava has just consumated her relationship with Nikolas and it looks like the two of them, might be falling in love. Cyrus Rhsaenault is a threat that must be dealt with as he has taken over General Hospital, and is trying to control Port Charles.

Sonny and Carly have baby Donna and Dev is living with them. Carly and Jax are hiding a secret about Nelle and there is Dante who has PTSD is about to return to Port Charles. Cousin Brando is now in town and truthfully, there are just too many irons in the fire at this time on General Hospital and no room for Morgan to return. If the writers did decide to rehire Bryan Craig, they would have to come up with a plausible explanation for how he was able to escape the explosion. Where has he been all of this time and who was caring for him? GH already had a similar storyline when Steve Burton returned as Patient 6 who turned out to be Jason.

There was also the situation where Drew was thought to have been his twin brother and his face was altered. Robin Scorpio also came back from the dead, so many General Hospital viewers may not desire to see this same scenario with Morgan. Sonny will be trying to manage his bipolar disease, while dealing with his father's death and having Dante home and living with PTSD. Morgan returning with his own mental illness challenges would be a bit much, with Dev, Avery, and Donna in the same household. Best of luck to Bryan Craig in his future endeavors, but returning to Port Charles as Morgan Corinthos should not be one of them.
