Tom Wopat and John Schneider have been pretty busy since their days on THE DUKES OF HAZARD.

Those who enjoy retro television programming often wonder what happened to their favorite stars. Two popular actors from the 1970s and 80s are Tom Wopat and John Schneider. As Bo and Luke Duke they captured the hearts of television audiences when they were on the hit CBS series THE DUKES OF HAZARD . There was never a dull moment and the audience was always left in stitches. The show ran from March 26, 1979, to February 8, 1985.

There were 147 episodes over seven seasons and in the late 1970s it was consistently in the top 10 television series. At one point THE DUKES OF HAZARD was second only to DALLAS which aired immediately after on Friday nights.Bo and Luke Duke, lived in rural Georgia with their uncle Jesse and cousin Daisy. THE DUKES OF HAZARD is not currently on the lineup of any television networks but that could always change.

Fans are hoping the cancel culture will not keep the show off the air because their vehicle was named General Lee and bore the symbol of the Confedate Flag. Both Wopat and Schneider spoke out the door after TV Land dropped the series in 2015 I’m the wake of the shooting at a Charleston church. Both men decried the violence but said their car is innocent, Schneider said that not one African American ever complain to him about General Lee.

They were on probation for running moonshine and always outsmarting Sherrif Roscoe P Coletrain and Boss Hog. The men who portrayed these lovable scoundrels have continued in the entertainment business although their lives have taken them in different directions.

Thomas Steven Wopat was born on September 9, 1951 and in addition to acting he also sings pop and country. and singer. Portraying the dark haired Lucas K. "Luke" Duke was his claim to fame and after the long running series ended. Wopat has worked steadily most often in supporting television roles, on stage and in musicals. and in supporting television and movies. He had a recurring guest on the 1990s comedy series CYBIL and a small role as U.S. Marshal Gil Tatum in the 2012 film DJANGO UNCHAINED.

He was also in episodes of FANTASY ISLAND and BLUE SKIES as well as the television movies CHRISTMAS COMES TO WILLOW CREEK and JUST MY IMAGINATION. The actor also had a recurring role as Sheriff Jim Wilkins on the television series LONGMIRE. He has recorded several albums of both pop and country tunes which had moderately successful singles during the 1980s and 1990s.Tom Wopat is married to Kathy Wopat, and the couple has five children. Adam Wopat, Joey Wopat, Walker Wopat, Taylor Wopat, and Lindsey Wopat.

John Richard Schneider was born on April 8, 1960. He portrayed the blonde Beauregard "Bo" Duke in the television action/comedy series. Schneider had the role of Jonathan Kent in the television series SMALLVILLE which ran from 2001-2011. He recently wrapped up a seven year run as psychopath James "Jim" Cryer on the television series THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS. In addition to acting, Schneider began a singing career in the early 1980s.

He released nine studio albums, a greatest hits package, and eighteen singles. Four of his singles made it to the top of the country charts. They were “I've Been Around Enough to Know", "Country Girls", "What's a Memory Like You", and "You're the Last Thing I Needed Tonight".In 1982, Schneider co-founded the Children's Miracle Network with Marie Osmond and her brothers

In 1995, he founded FaithWorks Productions im order to produce family-oriented recordings and videos. He Schneider In 1998, Schneider became a born-again Christian while living with Johnny and June Carter Cash. He has been married and divorced twice and has 4 children and 2 stepchildren. He is currently in a relationship with Alicia Alain the head of MAVEN entertainment. Schneider says he considers Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach who portrayed Daisy Duke as friends and they are always in his heart.
