Billy Miller's mother shares his actual cause of death
There has been some misinformation but now sadly what some fans suspected has become a reality.

Was Billy Miller diagnosed with PSP in 2021?
The narrative continues to change regarding the death of beloved soap opera veteran Billy Miller who passed away on Friday at age 43. Wikipedia as well as several news outlets announced that the actor had a stroke as the result of a progressive disorder PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy).
Initially, according to his publicist, he died of a stroke that was related to the rare neurological disorder progressive supranuclear palsy, that he had been diagnosed with in 2021. The Economic Times dedicated an article to Miller and explaining the disease he was said to have.
This does not sound like anything that would be made up but possibly it was because now this is no longer being mentioned and Wikipedia has removed that information and replaced it by saying Miller was dealing with manic depression.
Was Billy Miller manic depressive?
The narrative changed and many news outlets later began saying that Miller's "team" confirmed he was battling Manic depression at the time of his death which is what brought on speculation that he may have taken his own life. Now the actor's grieving mother has spoken out to give his fans the truth so hopefully, this will stop the rumors. In a third update, Wikipedia states the following.
Miller died in Austin, Texas, on September 15, 2023.[25][26][27] His manager stated Miller was dealing with manic depression at the time of his death.[28][29] In a statement, Miller's mother, Patricia, revealed his death was due to suicide following his battles with bipolar depression. She stated: "He fought a long hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease. He loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life

Patrica Miller speaks from her heart
General Hospital Blog quotes Patricia Miller's statement in its entirety with the following:
“I would like to share the following thoughts,” Patricia wrote. “I want to personally thank the many fans & personal friends for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers & condolences sent to me and my family on the devastating death of my beautiful son BJ — Billy Miller.
He fought a long hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease. He loved his family, his friends and his fans but in the end the disease won the fight and he surrendered his life. The other causes of death being told are not true. I wish they were but they just aren’t. We all loved him so much and are desperately trying to deal with our loss. I will have nothing further to say. Thanks for the love and support.”

There are still so many questions
Mrs.Miller's brave statement during such a traumatic time is appreciated but it leads to more questions. How is it that people representing Billy Miller announced PSP, a stroke, and manic depression when his mother said he was bipolar and none of the rest of it was true? Was Miller's team trying to cover the fact that he died by suicide and if he did have PSP coudol that have added to his depressed state?
At the end of the day, none of this is important because the popular soap vet is still gone and fans are heartbroken along with the family. People do like to be able to believe what they read and those who report the news desire to report accurate information that can be backed up with facts. Confusion and misinformation is a price to be paid for the fast passed Internet world.
