It looks like things will soon be heating up in the search for the assailant who shot Chance on The Young and the Restless. Rey says he is only following the evidence, which neatly points to Billy Abbott. Viewers know he has been framed and have been trying to figure out who done it. Spoiler alerts from Soap Dirt indicate that the real attempted murderer who was targetting Adam will soon be exposed. Alyssa Montalvo is allegedly going to be revealed as the person who tried to shoot Adam but hit Nina's son instead. You can read the story by clicking on the following link.

Through the process of elimination, many Y&R viewers had already suspected that Alyssa was guilty. Adam murdered her father and Billy used her to get a story. She was allegedly sent out of town on a false lead and it has been months since anyone has even mentioned her. In addition, there was no evidence of anyone in Genoa City at this time wanting to get rid of Adam. It looked for a while as if he and Chelsea were going to leave town but they are going to stay. Chelsea is ill and some fans wonder if it might be a brain tumor.

On General Hospital the characters Lulu Falconeri and Franco Baldwin both are dealing with brain injuries as is Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. It's possible that Y&R might have the same storyline for Ms. Lawson. There are no details yet on how Allysa got her hands on Billy's gun and his earbuds without being detected. Perhaps all of this may be revealed to viewers in flashbacks. If indeed Alyssa is the culprit she spent a lot of time setting Billy up, watching Adam's moves, and then trying to take him out. Although some Genoa City residents can see that the evidence stacks up a bit too neatly, there is one who wants Billy to be guilty.

Victor Newman's ire towards his former son in law is so strong, he will not even entertain that John Abbott's son could be innocent. If Billy is convicted this will play rightinto Victor's narrative that Billy boy is just no good. Alyssa found guilty and Bill exonerated would anger the Newman patriarch because it would not fit his agenda. Victoria was so certain that her father had a hand in the crime that she threatened him he would pay in the event his hands were dirty. If the intended victim was anyone but Adam, it would be easy to jump to the conclusion that Victor hired Ms. Montalvo to do his dirty work.

It is highly unlikely that he was trying to kill his own son. Spoilers say Victor will not even consider that Billy may be innocent so lets hope he does nothing to make things worse. Jill will be leaving Genoa City to care for her son Phillip who is hospitilized in Australia. Could this be a conicidence or perhaps a subtle hint that Colin might soon get out of prision.Tristan Rogers is full time as Robert Scorpio on General Hospital but he has done double duty before. There are a lot of Y&R viewers who would love to see the scallywag from the land Down Under reunite with his spitfire wife.

In the meantime when Jill exits Genoa City there will only be Lily in her son's corner. Victoria beleives er ex is innocent but she has other things on her agenda, including taking down Phyllis. Soap Dirt says soon, Billy will be arrested for a second time so things will obviously become worse before they get better for him. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless to find out if indeed Alyssa Montalvo is the shooter or it is someone else. Be on the lookout for updates and breaking news related to this storyline. Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests that Alyssa might come forward as a witness against Billy which would surely seal her fate so keep watching.
