All eyes focus on Adam on ‘The Young and the Restless’

For some it’s a choice and for others it’s inadvertently but either way, Victor’s youngest son continues to take up head space in the minds of most Genoa City residents.

Thursday’s episode of The Young and the Restless was the same old predictable episode and yet it was an eye opener. Victor Adam Newman/Wilson continues to dominate Genoa City life even when he is not there in person. Nicks hates his younger brother but did say he appreciated the fact he hat Adam got Faith to the hospital after the accident. On Thursday, however, Nick blamed his sibling for his daughter’s latest health crisis. Faith collapsed and now needs a kidney donor and her dad said that her uncle is the reason for it all.

Billy ran the article and should share in the blame buyback Nick has a point. If Adam had not kidnapped Faith as a baby then Billy never would have run the story which led to Faith being bullied and in turn caused her to drink heavily and drive. While this is true, the pointing of fingers does not help because the entire Newman clan is dysfunctional. Sharon has been married to Faith’s dad, his brother, and their dad Victor. This is but a small sample of all the issues with the Newman clan.

As Nick and Sharon argued about Adam, Nikki had to remind them to keep their focus on Faith. There is also a possibility that the kidney nfection has nothing to do with the other issues and then Nick will sulk as usual because he will feel that Adam got off again. Sharon cannot pull herself out of Adam’s grip and she kept quiet to everyone that he had called her asking for one last favor, which viewers know she will grant him. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Victor and Rey get into an argument because of Adam.

Victor was on the phone with one of his goons and demanded that his son’s new location be found. Rey walked in just in time to hear it and the two men argued as usual about Adam. Victor refused to give the detective any news on his son and would not even tell him why Faith is in the hospital. Rey also spent some time Thursday talking to DA Michael Baldwin and they discussed the possibility that Chelsea is pulling one of her cons. Rey admitted the timing of her miraculous recovery was suspicious and that she might have framed Adam for poisoning the detective. Michael tells Rey he trusts his instincts and that he agrees all angles should be investigated.

Some viewers are saying that it should be police chief Paul Williams assisting aRey and not the DA. Rey later goes to Chloe and she looks stunned to see him. Victor has put the bug in Rey and Michael’s eats that Chelsea could not have operated alone and Chloe is her best friend. Last week Chloe walked out on Chelsea because she did not realize how far this plan was going and said she had to put her children first. It’s a no brained that Tey is going to try to pry information from Chloe about Chelsea and Adam.

Although Adam was seen only briefly. he dominated the conversations of everyone in Thursday’episode. He might be able to come out of hiding soon because spoilers indicate that he will eventually be cleared. Rey seems to be coming out of his stupor and thinking more like a detective. He’s opening up to the possibility that Sharon and Victor have bern right all along. Chloe is acting like a scared rabbit and might tell the truth at any moment.

This storyline will probably heat up during May sweeps and be concluded. One issue that viewers are concerned about is whether or not Chelsea will be prosecuted. Adam believes his kissing Sharon was a big factor in his wife’s behavior and may push for her to obtain medical as well as mental health services. Stay tuned to The Young and the Redtless to find out how Adam continues to dominate Genoa Coty residents.
