Adam and Rey face off on 'The Young and the Restless'

On Friday's episode of 'THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS' Nick and his brother were back in Genoa City and all systems are go for Faith's surgery. Rey has promised not to interfere during the transplant procedure and Nate has said he is willing to put Faith's health first and remain silent. The plan had been for Victor to sneak his youngest son out of the hospital right after the transplant is complete but Rey knows and has said he will arrest Adam immediately after Adam has donated his organ.

Sharon and Adam have a heart to heart talk at her place and it's clear she still cares but won't admit it. He, however, is honest and says that donating his kidney is more about Sharon than Faith. Later, while Nick is at Sharon’s and Adam is taking a shower, Rey shows up. As the detective and Nick are talking, Adam has finished his shower and dressed and stands on the stairs listening. Rey is saying he will apprehend Adam after the surgery and Nick tells him to do what he has to do.

Is Nick really going to backstab his brother who saved his life in Kansas or was he only saying this to throw Rey off guard? This remains to be seen but the Friday cliff hanger is the look that passes between Adam and Rey as the episode ends. Detective Rosales hates Victor’s youngest who now will occupy permanent space in his wife’s heart and mind. Adam has risked his life, and his freedom to give a part of himself to his brother’s daughter. This will bond Shaddam in a way that Shey cannot compete with.

The final scene left the impression that the two men might argue and they will face off so to speak. Spoilers say it will not be what some viewers expect. Adam is not going to gloat but will apologize to Rey for the problems he has caused. Viewers are wondering if Rey could change his mind and let Adam go or if Victor will get Chelsea to confess first. Spoilers indicate that Ms. Lawson will be up to no good next week but do not give details of her plans. She should have learned by now that she cannot outmaneuver Victor Newman but she continues to try.

Shaddam fans are hoping that as Rey looks at Adam coming down the steps of his and Sharon's home, he will realize just how at home this man is in these surroundings. Soaps.com reveals that next week Sharon will be considering whether or not to remain in her marriage to Rey. Victor will tell Adam he needs to wipe the slate clean. Will Rey let Adam go if he promises to leave Genoa City and never return? Does he think locking Faith's kidney donor up and throwing away the key will save his marriage to Sharon or does the detective realize it's a lost cause?

As Rey and Adam face off the wheels are turning in their minds and no one knows at this point how any of this will play out. Viewers are weighing in on social media and saying a decision must be made. Sharon must choose either her husband or her ex and Adam must decide if he will stay or run again. Fans are tired of the drama of Adam Newman always hiding out, or leaving town. Spoilers tease that during surgery Adam will have a dream of a chess game where Sharon is his white queen. Perhaps this may help him decide if he will stay in Genoa City or take off again.
