The Next EA 'Star Wars' Game

If you’re like me and you enjoy video games that you can dive deep into the story and game play, you might be looking for the same thing when it comes to the next Star Wars game EA makes.

I’ve played almost every Star Wars game that has come out over the years. Some of them I love like Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. Some of them I enjoyed, Star Wars Obi Wan for Xbox and the new Star Wars Battlefront series. Then there are the games I hated. And there’s a lot of them.

Now I didn’t hate the games because they were bad games. I just wanted more out of them. The Force Unleashed series finally had the lightsaber and force lightning fights I wanted but all the game was is a straight story mode we’re you just going through the motions. But that’s how a lot of their games are. Or they have released online games where it’s just a shooter game with a Star Wars filter over it. The only difference so far has been a Star Wars pod racing game their released when The Phantom Menace came out. That game was okay but all it was was a racing game. I want something more.

A lot of their games, they spent a lot of time and energy developing awesome trailers for the game and then the actual game didn’t live up. They released over 45 minutes of trailers for the Old Republic alone. And yes, I do love watching these trailers and the stories they tell but they don’t really tell you what the game is about, don’t include game play, and are basically misleading the viewers. Examples being here with the Force Unleashed 2.

And The Old Republic.

What I really want is something more along the lines of Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto, or State of Decay 2. A Star Wars game that’s open world and allows you to make the decision between the light and the dark with the actions you make in the game. It would be similar to Knights of the Old Republic in that aspect but with game play similar to the Force Unleashed when it comes to fighting.

You can make it open world but don’t just have the setting on one world. They need to add in the ability to travel to different planets where you can complete other missions. That type of game would be endless. It wouldn’t need to be multiple player but it could be.

Make it so people can design their own character and have the ability to be Jedi, Sith, soldier, bounty hunter, and number of different things. But don’t make it that if you pick one, you can never do a little of the other stuff. They did this when they released The Old Republic pc game. You had to pick a class you wanted to be in and then follow that story. If they make it similar to Skyrim or State of Decay, you could become a master at every skill in the game. Fans would love something like that, I know I would.

I know they have games in the works, probably some more awful mobile games and console games where you have to keep spending money after purchasing the game. But I want something from Star Wars they haven’t given us before. Something strong in the Force.
