The Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah won't be competing in the Twenty20 kingexchange id, per reports from the PTI news agency.

Jasprit Bumrah, India's best fast bowler, won't be competing in the T20 World Cup of cricket because he has a back stress fracture, according to the news agency PTI, which cited BCCI authorities. After complaining of back pain during India's practise session, Bumrah was forced to skip the opening Twenty20 International of the series against South Africa on Wednesday. The loss of Bumrah to the T20 World Cup is a devastating blow to the Indian team, which is already dealing with Ravindra Jadeja's unavailability.

Senior BCCI officials, speaking to PTI under the condition of anonymity, said that "Undoubtedly, Bumrah won't participate in the World T20. He suffers from a serious back condition. He may be out for six months due to a stress fracture."

Bumrah had to withdraw from the 2022 Asia Cup earlier this year due to a persistent back problem. He returned to the Indian side and played in games two and three of the Twenty20 International series that India was playing against Australia earlier this month.

Although Bumrah's injury is thought to be too minor to necessitate surgery, it is serious enough for him to miss several months of action. Bumrah is anticipated to travel to the NCA on Thursday, despite there being no confirmation as of yet. Stay tuned for more details as the reports will be analysed before the final judgement is reached.

The 28-year-old fast bowler was chosen to join a four-man pace bowling assault that also includes Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshal Patel in advance of the Twenty20 World Cup that will be hosted in Australia. Bumrah allegedly won't play in the championship match, so it's expected that India would select between Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar to fill Bumrah's spot. These two bowlers have been designated as backups for the match.

Mohammed Siraj, who is presently representing Warwickshire in the county championship, is another name that has been mentioned.

Following a knee injury earlier this month, Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was subsequently ruled out of the Twenty20 World Cup due to the seriousness of his condition. Team India is captained by Rohit Sharma. Axar Patel, who has filled in magnificently for India in their most recent Twenty20 International games against Australia and South Africa, has excelled in his absence.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which has done everything in its power to safeguard the Indian pacer, is devastated that Bumrah won't be participating in the Twenty20 World Cup. Since the Indian side returned to competition after the 2022 Indian Premier League, Bumrah has only participated in three Twenty20 Internationals for his country. India has played in 24 T20 Internationals so far. He took part in six international games for the squad after the IPL ended, including a test and two one-day internationals (all against England).

Bumrah has played for India in sixty Twenty20 Internationals (10cric login id) and has amassed seventy wickets. He is recognised as one of the best speed bowlers in modern cricket. He consequently ranks as India's second-highest fast bowler in terms of wickets taken in Twenty20 cricket.
