Technological Singularity: Deceiving Humanity

As humankind stands on the verge of the technology-triggered data revolution, the range and complexity of the force of intelligence development in machines are unlike anything humankind has experienced before. As a result, the pace at which the ideas and inventions are arising on the back of artificial intelligence has no ancient precedent and is fundamentally agitating everything in the human ecosystem.

The technology-triggered intellect evolution in engines and the linkages between ideas, discoveries, and drifts have in fact brought us to the doorsteps of singularity. Irrespective of whether we believe that the singularity will happen or not, this compels us to initiate a conversation with ourselves and with others individually and collectively about what we want as a species.

While there is no method to determine just how and when this intelligence evolution will unwind in machines, one thing is clear i.e., it changes the very fundamentals of security, and the response to it must be desegregated and comprehensive.

While we have developed our ecosystem on various events, intelligent machines are required to change and increase the human ecosystem in modern ways.

As seen across nations, the associated computers, information, communication, and the internet have radically disordered the information process created by humans, which has given rise to a data age.

The success of the rapidly progressing information age is based on data, and data and information are all around us.

Economic advancement has often been constrained by some sort of automation, and AI has been introduced to increase self-regulation in the making of goods and services across nations and jobs. So, the question emerges, what happens if everything can be automated - that is, if frames and processes can be replaced by AI, what would the economic increase look like?

While there can be no precise timeline or agreement on when superintelligence is likely to be delivered, one thing is clear: that the troubling trajectory of technological singularity urges us to think gravely about what we want as a species. Irrespective of whether the technological singularity is inspired by artificial intelligence or any other technological means, it is bound to trigger a technological tsunami, ending in boundless variances and provocations to human civilization and its ecosystem in cyberspace, geospace, and space.

We humans are existing in an enigma as the accomplishments of artificial intelligence progressions are shaping human ecosystems with extra dangerous and more relevant opportunities than ever before. Whether promise or jeopardy predominates will define and determine the future of humanity.

Whether we believe that technological singularity is near or not, the very notion proposes crucial security and risk issues for the future of humanity, forcing us to think seriously about what we want as a species.
