Wanna take a walk on the wild side? Think you can handle the fire without getting burnt? Well if so an Aries is whom you’ve been waiting for. Courageous, generous, honest, head strong, and optimistic; Aries are meant to forge the road for those to follow. We are natural born leaders; I mean why else do you think we’re the first sign of the zodiac. We believe in high risk for high reward, and love diving head first into all types of challenges. However, don’t expect a detailed plan on how we plan on conquering the world, because we don’t have one. Instead we use our spontaneous nature to make the best decision in the moment. Consequences? HA! Don’t make us laugh, minor setbacks that allow us to use our intuitive problem solving skills.

Accra, Ghana. 2035. I like to think that you and I have something in common. That immortal feeling of not being alone in facing a difficult moment. Being part of the Mosh pit isn’t always a curse, sometimes it’s the only way to avoid breakage. Deep down we know how badly things can turn for us, but we choose to look the other way to cope. Implosion echoes somewhere deep down in my body and rottens a part of me. A part of me I can’t begin to find or touch. It feels like a goddamn unalleviated itch. Everything goes well for three days in a row and I can’t help but be reminded of that nausea.

When thinking about the parts of my personality that haven’t come from my parents or my experiences; looking at my astrological sign seemed like an interesting place to start. Each sign has certain distinct characteristics that make them special. Looking at the traits of a Pisces was a good way to find out where some of my idiosyncrasies originated. I was really surprised just how Piscean I am.

“98.3° this morning.” The intake nurse’s printer whirled to life and she handed me a half sheet of stickers with my name and medical information barcode on it, as well as a Screened sticker to adhere to my shirt. “Go ahead and take a seat in the waiting room and a nurse will be out to get you shortly."

Ever since I was a kid, I knew what I wanted to do. At first, as a youngster, my thoughts were "I want to be an Archaeologist!!" since I loved Dinosaurs so much. Then a few years later, I discovered a much more distinct, internal desire. We had just gotten cable, with Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. I decided right then, "I want to be a Comedian!!"
Lu, Tru and the Mystics.
I sat in the twilight drenched room, staring with trepidation at my bank account on my phone. 47 dollars. A heavy sigh escaped from the bottom of my being. Fragments of sunlight from the setting sun played on the walls, drawing my attention back to the present. The light stretched, twisted and flickered in a way that reminded me of a child playing and giggling. My mind unexpectedly went to the backyard of my childhood. To the memory of my sister Celeste, frolicking with our best and imaginary friend, Atrutha or Tru as she liked to be called- a fairy that only we could see. I hadn’t thought about Atrutha or that day in years.

The first breath after the RESET is always painful. I’ve never understood why, and I’ve been doing this for — well, I’m not even sure anymore. Decades. Lifetimes. Eons. At this point, it could be millennia, I imagine.

Astrology. The study of the movements and positions of the stars is believed to influence our species and environment. You can trace back any ancient civilisation and observe their close relationship with the stars. Some saw them as gods, while others as ways of navigation. We can trace back the roots of astrology as far back as 32,000 years ago, between 30,000 and 10,000BC, to ancient cave paintings marked with lunar phases seen at the time. No matter what your view is on astrology, we can all agree it provides some phenomenal reading.

It’s 10 am, the irritation of a new day is beginning all over again. The blaring on my phone wakes me from a deep sleep. I frown, the screen says “Saturday”. My head hurts, I close my eyes before a second alarm wakes me.

The warmth of the aged single malt reached the back of his throat, soothing his mind, although not dulling the ache in his heart. It was his Father’s favorite drink, so today it seemed appropriate, although Martin had never really acquired a taste for it.
