Ask a Porn Star: Hada Pixie

Hada Pixie is one of those adult performers who really, truly knows how to own at life. She's not just one of the super cool ladies of Pixel Vixens; she's also a talented artist, photographer, and clothing accessory designer, too.

Seeing her in action is amazing, so when I got the chance to chat with her, I absolutely had to go for it. As you'd expect, Hada Pixie is as fun to interview as she is to watch. Here's what she had to say in this issue of Ask a Porn Star...

How did you get into adult modeling? Do you have any tips for newbies?

My friends in high school were constantly telling me I needed to get into modeling... I thought they were crazy, but eventually gave in and got a Model Mayhem account.

I fell in love with my first shoot. Doing nude content was just a natural progression of things for me. When getting into modeling whether it's adult or not, the biggest piece of advice I have is don't shoot the content if you're not comfortable shooting it and/or aren't comfortable with anyone seeing it.

We live in a digital age and there may be consequences for your content in real life. Be aware of that and take precautions.

Tell me your favorite scenes to shoot, and who your favorite folks to shoot with are.

I love shooting something creative or something that says something. An example would be my "Real Life vs Model" project where I contrast what we as models; we as real people have to deal with on a daily basis paired with a standard, pretty modeling photo.

As a model, I work with some amazing photographers: Debased Photography does my Pixel Vixens content and a lot of my Patreon content. As a photographer, I primarily work with Sakura Stars. She is always up to shoot my sometimes weird ideas and sometimes she throws ideas at me. Our content is truly a collaborative effort.

I just want to say, your costumes are beautiful! What's your favorite costume?

Thank you! I have a special place in my heart for all of my costumes, but really my favorite thing is the versatility of certain pieces to transform with different accessories, shoes, or other clothing pieces... I prefer pieces/cosplays that have more of a gothy feeling to them.

Do you have any dating advice you'd want to impart on fans?

Don't ask for freebies! We post teasers on our websites and social media. If you want additional content and aren't willing to pay for it, it proves you don't respect us. It's really as simple as the Golden Rule.

Not only are you a Pixel Vixen, but you're also a photographer! Tell me some of your favorite types of photoshoots to do.

I love shoots where I can get a ton of content done in a single day. Sometimes, we set up group shoots so that I can shoot but also model (no duos posted on PV yet but idea are in the works).

As a former fetish model, I know photo shoots often have fun stories. Tell me your favorite shoot story!

I was working with Sakura Stars for an album art project. It was supposed to be super sensual and erotic—the end result is—but the shoot was ridiculous. We kept giggling and goofing off. Shhhhh, most models are really goofballs.

I began creating pieces for myself before starting to sell them. I create pieces that I love and would want to wear. The way I look at it is, if I create for myself and others happen to like it, then we all win.

I get my inspiration from Catholic rosaries, so a lot of my pieces are alternative religion/spirituality rosaries or malas. I do a lot of custom work as well.

With all the fashion you do, it's clear you know some amazing makeup tips. What are your favorites to share with fans?

Practice, practice, practice. The thing I get asked about most often is false eyelashes, but with anything makeup related, take the time to do it when no one's going to see so you can perfect your art.

Let's talk hobbies outside of performing, shooting, and making cool gear. What else do you like to do?

In my downtime, I like to curl up with a cup of coffee and my pets, or sometimes exchange the book for Dr. Who, X-Files, or Star Trek.

Do you do any volunteer work?

Not volunteer per se, but my day job for years has been assisting people in their daily life with whatever they need, a personal care assistant, if you will. It is a very rewarding and taxing job. I'm taking a break from it currently to focus on my art.

Do you feel that being an adult model is empowering? Why or why not?

Yes! Modeling has given my self-esteem a huge boost since I get to see myself outside of reality, I get to become my own fantasy and by default the fantasy of others.

Being able to look at what I do and not care that some people will look at it negatively is a form of control and empowerment that gets me through all the tough times and emotional meltdowns.

Tell me something that most people would never guess about being an adult model.

Sure the pictures are sensual and serious, but the amount of giggles that went into most shoots is ridiculous!

Is there anything you want to tell your fans?

Remember, models are people too.
