Yoke Of Love chapter thirty-four:By Noah Adekunle Adetilewa

No Money, No Love

Kolawole started producing his laundry Bar-soaps from his kitchen, and because of the danger of the caustic soda, soda ash, and other chemicals he was using to produce his Bar-soaps; Mojisayo decided to relocate back to Sango with their two years old son while his daughter was still with his mother in Ijebu-Aiyepe.

In the beginning of this arrangement, Kolawole visited his wife and his son every weekend from Friday evening and he would returned back to Lagos on Sunday evening. Every Tuesday morning, Kolawole would load one hundred pieces of laundry Bar-soaps packed in card board boxes into his Beetle car and headed to the weekly Azwani market at Isolo Lagos to sell his product.

On many market days he sold out all his laundry Bar-soaps before four o’clock in the afternoon; but on bad market days he may ends up selling half of his products at the end of the day. The money he made on his soap business could hardly feed him and maintained his Beetle car because Azwani market was not a daily but a weekly market place. Whenever there was no enough money for him to give to Mojisayo at the weekend, his wife would deny him sex on the bed at night.

Sometimes when he pleaded with his wife for just one round of sex, she would say; “Money for hand; and my back would be on the bed for you; no money, no love making.” Mojisayo’s new attitude of starving him of sex when he did not bring enough money at the weekend for his wife was driving Kolawole crazy in hunger for her chu chu; Kolawole was dying for Mojisayo’s love and attention but she made him suffer more; and she refused to have sex with him for several months because he could not satisfy her monetary demands.

Adebayo Sarumi was a thirty-four years old Income Tax Officer in the Inland Revenue Department of Ogun State Ministry of Finance. Adebayo was stoutly built, and dark in complexioned with goatee-beard on his round face; he was in love with Mojisayo, but he lacked the confidence to approach her for a relationship because she was a beautiful woman; and married to a young purchasing Manager.

He saw her with her husband once, and he was envious of his good look, height, and his aristocratic personality which could endeared Mojisayo’s husband to get any beautiful woman of his choice, Adebayo thought sadly. Adebayo was married to a petty trader with a son for him, and his wife could not give him more children for over five years after his son was born, his wife was not living with him in Sango but he usually met with his family every weekend in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

One day, Adebayo decided to use his position as a Tax officer to lure Mojisayo into love affairs with him. Two months after Mojisayo relocated back to Sango with her son, she noticed that her income tax had double as against the amount she had been paying since she became a teacher in Ogun State; when she complained to one of her colleagues, she was advised to seek the help of Adebayo Sarumi, the Tax Officer in Sango.

Mojisayo went to the tax office during her lunch break hour in the school, she was directed to Adebayo’s office, and he was very glad to see that his plan had worked; he intentionally increased her income tax in order to force her to seek for his help.

Adebayo smiled just to relax the worried expression on Mojisayo’s face and he asked; “What can I do for you madam Mojisayo Gabriel, please pardon me for calling you by your maiden name because you did not change your name officially since you got married.”

She looked at the diminutive man speculatively, and asked; “Why did you increase my income tax Mr. Adebayo Sarumi?” Adebayo was pleased with the way she pronounced his name, and he said cautiously; “Madam, the Tax office doubled your income tax because you are married, even though not officially announced publicly; but the tax office is aware of your marital status,” he lied.

Mojisayo realized that the despicable short man could make things more difficult for her, even more difficult when Kolawole was no longer earning his fat salary that was oiling her needs; she decided to open up for the short man; “My husband lost his fat salary job about five months ago, and the little amount he is making from his small scale business cannot feed me and our two children, please return me back to my former income tax rate,” Mojisayo pleaded. Adebayo Sarumi congratulated himself for having the beautiful Mojisayo well-cornered where he wanted her to be; at his mercy!

Adebayo looked triumphantly at her, and said; “Madam, I am in a position to take away all your income tax and register you as a widow with two children; but make sure your husband stays away from you as from next month; and if you agree to this new condition, I will remove your income tax completely.”

Mojisayo thought about the condition briefly, of what use is Kolawole to her now that he was jobless; without money, her husband was as good as dead to her. “Make me a widow Mr. Adebayo Sarumi, and as for my jobless husband; I will stop him from coming to visit us every weekend from next week; I can promise you that,” she told the short man proudly.

And that was the beginning of their unholy love affairs which had turned Adebayo Sarumi to be the envy of all his friends who considered Mojisayo as a priceless catch for their friend. What Adebayo Sarumi did in order to seduce Mojisayo was illegal; it was fraudulent for him to increase a civil servant income tax without the Ministry of Finance’s approval; but he succeeded in his mischief because no one has ever reported him to the Ministry of Finance over the years.

Two months before Mojisayo met Adebayo Sarumi in his office; she had forgotten to renew the love potion for Kolawole; however, she was no longer interested in Kolawole since he lost his fat salary job; as far as Mojisayo was concerned, a jobless man was just useless like a corpse.

When Kolawole came visiting that weekend, he yearned for her love which she refused to give him, and when he pleaded with her for sex at night, she looked at him scornfully and said; “You are really useless Kolawole, how can your joystick still rise for sex when you don’t have a decent job, and the money you are making weekly is not enough to feed your family; I want you to stop coming to this place until you get another job or until you are rich; I don’t ever want to see you here again.”

That night, Kolawole could not sleep at all; he had not had sex with Mojisayo for good five months! His wife slept peacefully by his side on the bed with her backside softly touching his mid-section, he looked hungrily at her well shaped buttocks, and his joystick was as strong as a nail, but still the woman he loved so much would not allow him to enter her chu chu because he was jobless, hopeless, and without enough money.

He was heartbroken, and he suffered throughout the whole night with his joystick standing very strong like a six inches nail because his wife refused to open her legs for him. He silently left Mojisayo’s room very early in the morning and returned back to Lagos.

At night, he thought about his annual rent which he must renew in two months time, and his mind sparked in fear when he thought about the cost of the rent. The following Friday, Kolawole visited Mojisayo and his son, he had made extra money that week when a supermarket bought some of his laundry Bar-soaps from him; he planned to give Mojisayo some money to make her happy with him, and he had the hope of having sex with her which she had denied him for many months.

However, when he parked his car at the usual spot by the side of the house, one of Mojisayo’s neighbors beckoned on him to come into his apartment, the man’s wife also welcomed him pleasantly when he stepped into their apartment, and he was offered a cold drink which he accepted gladly.
