" You came in low to us" He said with that smile.

The man looked stunned as he waited for his order to be made. The waitress brought him his food as he left.

Part One

The Diner

"Order up!!!" she said as she commanded the team from her post.

"Double order of fries, hot dog and shake. Order 102 in second spot. Ricky take it to the customer." she smiled like he was her own boy.

She was a vision that strived for excellence. Her hair was always neatly in a bun, with the diner cap on her head. Her smile sharp and cleaned behind her mask. Her uniform firm to her skin, cleaned pressed almost. He came from the back done with prep. She sighed finally he's done. He took position beside her and started frying.

"How far behind are we?" he said.

His cap on. Cleaned skin , no tattoos unlike her. A bright young man. As she started prepping to cook for the dash shed felt a strange feeling.

" I came in on my day off." she heard gratefully as the crew felt dread.

"Eric!" I already got most off the stuffed prepped.

"Okay." as he finished cooking.

Lily was a young Arabic lady who spoke little English, but was fluent. Still though not safe and could easily be taken advantage of. She was in charge of managing The Grill. Just your average shift manager. Lily and Eric had worked together for awhile. Eric the general manager and Lily the shift.

As Lily was walking to her car she had spotted the man earlier across the street. He was jogging at the park. The park was small, a little exercise corner, plus it right across from the plaza where lily worked. She got in her and drove away.

The weekend had come. Lily had got dressed to jog at the park. She wasn't counting on it, but she was hoping to run into the one guy. He looked funny and nice to her. A little mean, but who isn't now a days. She knew in her mind she would see him.

"Hi." Lily said as she tripped across him embarrassed.

He laughed. "my name is Jack."

"Lily." she smiled. "As in Lilith , the evil one."

"Oh." he replied.

"I work across the street." She said with pain.

"Damn." he replied "I do delivery services."

"Sorry, about the other day." She was concerned.

"No never, hey though I gotta go." he smiled.

" Okay, see you next time." She smiled.

"Always, bye." he hollered while running away.

It was mid in the week. Her shift was going on normal at the restaurant.

"Thank you for choosing. May I take your order? Lily asked.

"Yes, the number five large." the costumer replied " I got to see your guy the other day!"

"Oh, who?" Lily asked.

"The one you were talking to." she said happily.

"Oh he is the friendliest guy." Lily smiled "What did he say?"

"That your nice and a great cook." the costumer replied while taking her food.

Lily smiled and went on her way. The rest of the day she was thinking about him, what he does? What he is like? Later that evening while she was walking to her car, she felt an eerie feeling out that gave her chills. She could hear a creeping from a distance. She got in her purse and hurried for the keys. Each moment hear her heart thump.

"Lily!" A mysterious voice cried. It sounded familiar.

"Ahhhh!" Lily screamed "I hate you."

It was Eric in the shadows smiling at her. Looked as if he just started a shift.

"Relaxed, I see." Lily glared.

"I need to talk to you, okay tomorrow." Eric replied.

"Okay." Lily said" I gotta go."

" Alright, see ya." he said

"You ,too." she replied.

Later the building smelt of pot. It was gross , but it was home when she got back she could see the sticker and wondered why? It was an eviction notice, one of the neighbors told something. She was gone now. Had spent all night crying and packing too sad now. She put it all in storage now to figure out what to do. Fear settling in she headed to work. She seen Eric first sight. He gestured her to come over and sit.
