She is a female thief who steals from department stores. For two years, she had been working in the "street mall", but had never been suspected. Her eyes are blue and full of innocence, her hands are nimble and agile, and she often carries a purse on her left shoulder, not too big, and she doesn't have to learn how to steal, as if she were doing magic with a quick trick, doing a blindfold with her right hand and stealing with her left. She grabbed what she saw, the little finger to open the bag, a bend in the hand, the thing thrown in, and then again when the natural pressure, the bag buckle buckle, will not attract the attention of others. She practiced this technique for a long time. Finally she did it as perfectly as a swan plucking water. She could slide the bag up and down her left arm with ease, as if she had given it life.

Of course there are usually a lot of hazards there too. Some of the store clerks are so sharp-eyed and keep flickering their eyes around that most people feel too timid to take the risk. The department store also employs some men and women to help guard the place. They appear at different times. Like ordinary customers from this store to that store, browse calmly, always pretending to buy something to cover their tactics.

There are also security guards in green uniforms who live as if they were printed from a mold.

These security guards are probably the same ones who stop you in the wide aisles of the mall. After you pass the checkout counter, if you are suspicious, they will search your carry-on bags, which are sometimes stolen themselves. She noted, however, that this was a task they would rather perform outside the shopping center, where the dirt is on you and you have absolutely no excuse. She was confident though, she wasn't scared at all.

If you lack confidence, you will show your hand. Despite your pure skill, there is always a moment of breathlessness, or a moment of indecision, or a sudden oblique glance, a moment of anxiety, a moment of nervousness. In short, there are a hundred subtle ways in which a lack of confidence can reveal itself to you.

On the other hand, if confident, you will give off an air of respectability. It can put you in the category of good people, that is, people who shop calmly and honestly, without getting you involved with a smooth talker. And what she did have was confidence, not only in her own abilities, but also in the fact that she wouldn't be caught wishing for a day when, as she was leaving the mall full of confidence, she felt someone give her a very authoritative tap on her right shoulder. She turned around and said between the two, "Yes?" The voice was calm, without a trace of apprehension.

The security guard was tall, athletic, handsome, and quite good-looking even in his uniform. "Excuse me, miss, I have to search your carry-on bag. "My purse? Why?" "Theft of merchandise, miss."

"Stealing merchandise! Her pure blue eyes widened visibly.

"Jesus," she gasped, "you think I'm a pickpocket?"

"I'm sorry," the security guard said, "it's my responsibility."

"Duty." She got irritated, the kind of irritation caused when a beautiful lady's honesty is doubted, "Hmph, what nerve." He pushed his hat back, revealing his black curls, and said, "Please, miss."

In fact, from the beginning he had her trapped in the corner of the mall's red brick wall, and in a few moments he was going to take coercive action.

She shifted and said, in a questioning tone, "What did I steal?"

"A camera, an expensive lighter, and probably something else. For your own sake, I hope I'm incorrectly informed. Now, if you don't mind ......" "Hm, okay!" She said, taking the purse off her shoulder. "Good!"

When it was too late, only the sound of cloth-shoe footsteps came, and the purse was snatched away. A long, thin figure darted away and disappeared around the corner with the "evidence". "Damn! The security guard shouted.

The girl also shouted loudly: "Catch the thief, come on, catch the thief."

The security guard looked at her sharply. "Why are you shouting so loudly? He obviously saved your life just now."

"Hmph," she said with a high voice, pretending, "I always yell like that when my purse is snatched." "Even now?"

"Of course." Her two eyes brightened and her beautiful lips curled up gently. She was mocking him, and he knew it.

He looked down at her after a moment of thought and said, "I'm sorry to bother you, miss. I hope you find your bag. Really, really hope."

She was still smiling when it was time to return to the apartment. Harry had dumped the contents of his bag on the table and was working on the camera."

"You really should be in the World Games with your speed." She said, "You were already running out of time before his feet were set and you were counting the time." "I know." He said simply he said.

"Maybe I should go to a different shopping center."

"Yes, go to another shopping center where no one knows you." He put the camera, lighter, watch and other things in a small leather bag, "I'll take it to the boss tonight."

During the conversation, he warned her to be extra careful doing this in the future, that he saved her today, and if necessary, he would save her again, but maybe the third time he wouldn't act again.

Hearing his words, she felt frustrated inside for the first time.

"I think I'll take a break," said he, giving his head a spontaneous shake. It was a gesture she had always found attractive. He also sent her a smile that was haunting enough to move her: "Let's take it easy together."

Then everything was good as new again ......

Cumberland Mall is on the other side of town. She spent a week familiarizing herself with the environment, looking around the stores, choosing some exits and watching who was watching.

The security guards here had blue and gray eyelets and were not very well cut. She saw four men making the rounds regularly, wearing hats and uniforms that looked identical, even their expressions were indistinguishable, all showing boredom.

Soon she repeated the same trick, making things disappear from the counter or shelves without a sound. She did a good job, self-confidence has been restored. Harry was happy too, and life went on calmly as usual.

However, one day her life suddenly became uneventful.

She had some fine jewelry in her purse and was just walking out of the shopping center. Suddenly a hand gently tapped her on the right shoulder. She turned around and asked, "What is it?" The voice was calm and unconcerned.

The security officer was tall, well-built, and good-looking. "Excuse me, miss," he said, "I have to search your purse." "Why?" "Theft of something, miss."

"Theft of things!" Her innocent blue eyes widened and she gasped, "Good heavens, you think I'm a pickpocket! Heck, what a nerve." He held out his hand, "Please, miss."

He forced her to stand against the wall, and within minutes he was about to take her purse and search it.

She shifted. "Oh, all right!" Said the man, taking the purse off his shoulder.

Only a footstep in cloth shoes came and someone snatched the purse out of her hand. Just then, the security guard grabbed her right wrist, turned his tall man sideways, spun him around, and the tip of his hard shoe met a soft cloth shoe, and Harry flew up and fell face down onto the concrete. The girl also fell on top of the security guard as a result of his pull. As he picked her up, she saw his hat fall off, revealing his black curly hair, and she recognized him. "It's you," she called out, "why are you here again."

"Oh," he said, "I applied for a transfer since you slipped out of my hands and then started checking out what other shopping centers might be your next target."

"What's in it for you if you catch me?" She said, "If you let me go, you'll get a lot of money."

"I'm aspiring for a lot more than you can give me."

"What?"

"I have my eye on a jewelry store." He said, "But I lack a skilled and confident female partner."
