Somethings in the Water

This story takes place within the nightmares of a little girl named Roxana who had a gift of visions. Whenever she would fall asleep she would always see the same little boy drowning in a river, she did not know where or why every night she would have the same dream. Night after night, her parents have done all they can do to take away this dream but no matter what Roxana would still have the same nightmare. Until one day on her birthday her parents took her to a small town restaurant and on that actual day she met the same boy, who had just moved to town with his parents their fathers worked at the same place and when she shook his hand, she could see him drowning. Her face turned pale white and she froze in place, her parents began to panic. They rushed her home and tried to get her out of her frozen state. They prayed over her and tried to wake her but nothing worked it felt to them an eternity had passed,what she saw in her dream was: One day after school she walked home with the boy. His name is Anton, and they became fast friends. They walked along a nearby river Anton was very daring; he would joke around a lot and on this particular day he went a bit too far. He wanted to show Roxana how brave he was by jumping into the river. Roxana told him repeatedly not to but he would not listen. When he jumped in he was not coming back up it took him awhile Roxana was thinking about running to get help but suddenly he jumped up out of the water. Something pulled him back in, Roxana hurried to him and tried to pull him back up but it was of no use he drowned, Roxana saw everything because her head was the only thing in the water. When she was looking towards Anton she saw behind him a pair of evil red eyes staring back at her, it grabbed him and swam so fast away, then when she finally woke up. She seemed different. Her voice was different, her hair was longer and she was taller, she turned to her parents and they both had aged. She jumped out of bed and fell over because she was in the bed for so long her whole body was weak and limp. She was in a state of shock, her parents and Anton were by her side. She could not figure out what had happened because before she passed out she was age 10 and now it seemed she was 10 years older. Roxana put herself back into a comatose state and when she woke again she was 10 again. For some reason she had a gift of not only seeing visions but she can tap into different stages of her life as well. But why was Anton so near her for all of these stages? Was it the river could that have been the culprit for all of this? You decide.

When Roxana continued on she went to school each day like any other and met Anton in person she was very nervous and scared for whether she knew his fate with that creepy creature or not because he was by her side at age 20 or was this just a dream. As I’ve said before they naturally became fast friends they would play after school then walk home together because they lived a block away from each other.

On the night of All Hallows’ Eve they were on their way to trick or treat just the two of them, just how they like it. They walked past the river which was their hangout, jokingly Anton stood near the water Roxana kept yelling to Anton to stop but he wouldn’t then he jumped into the river, just like Roxana’s nightmare she was going to run for help but she saw Anton coming up from the water he was laughing so hard at her then it happened he was pulled into the water Roxana jumped near to grab his hand she saw him being pulled down and drowning she can see a creatures dark evil red eyes staring up at her she frantically shook and ran away so fast home, she was yelling for her parents “My nightmare is real, please help him!” Her parents called 911 right away and called Anton’s parents. They were all at the scene they searched and searched for Anton but he was nowhere to be found all along, up and down the river. But there was no sign of him. Roxana was in so much pain she felt guilty for what had happened to her friend. If only she could have stopped it from happening she began to have insomnia and no appetite. She kept asking Anton where he was, she focused long and hard then she heard his voice. He said “Roxana, is that you?” She replied,”Yes.” He was so happy to hear her voice.”How is this possible?” Roxana replied there’s no time to explain the she asked him where he was, he said he wasn’t sure because it’s so dark there. She asked him what happened, he told her all that he remembered was getting up out of the water and a creature pulled him back in. Then he blacked out and ended up where he is now. The conversation carried over for about 10 minutes then he told her that the creature was coming back and he had to hide…
