It's December and Pacifico the panda is going to visit his relatives for the holiday season. He gets to ride on an awesome train known as the Ocean Union.

Pacifico and his parents arrived at the train station where his father, purchased three train tickets. He gave one to Pacifico and one to Pacifico's mother. As they pass the departure board, Pacifico says "Let's hurry our train is leaving at noon, I don't want to miss it!" "Don't worry Pacifico, we will board the train on time," says his mother.

As they waited for their train to arrive Pacifico counts all the ones that pass by. "One... Two... Three..." he says. Finally, his train arrives. "All aboard!" yells the conductor. Pacifico and his parents board the train and find three seats to accommodate them.

"I can't wait to see our family," says Pacifico's mother.

"I can't wait to take a nap," says Pacifico's father.

"And I can't wait to explore the train," says Pacifico.

The conductor stops by to collect the tickets. Pacifico gives his ticket to the conductor. "I love trains. They are my favorite!" says Pacifico. "Come, I'll show you around the train," says the conductor.

Pacifico follows the conductor as the floor rumbles under his feet. "We are now walking through the passenger car. Passenger car trains are designed to transport people over long distances or on short commutes. Next stop, the caboose!" says the conductor.

"This is AWESOME!" said Pacifico as they get to the caboose. "Want to learn something about the caboose?" asked the conductor to Pacifico. "Yes! I would love to. I love learning new things," Pacifico replies. "The caboose is the last car nearly on every train. Its purpose is to shelter the train crew, who had to leave the rear of the train for switching. And I have my desk where I take care of important paperwork for the train," the conductor tells Pacifico. "Now how would you like to visit the front of the train, where the engineer is?" "That sounds great!" Pacifico screams with excitement.

On the way to the front, Pacifico passed by the cafe where he sees his dad and mom. "Hi mom and dad, I'm on the way to see the front of the train," exclaimed Pacifico. "Here we got you a snack in case you get hungry during your adventure throughout the train," says dad.

Pacifico follows the conductor to the front of the train. "Come on in!" the engineer said. "Wow, this is COOL!" says Pacifico with excitement. The engineer shows Pacifico the engine, the brakes, and explains the functions for each button.

Up ahead! Here comes a tunnel. As they go through the tunnel the engineer turns the train light on and lets Pacifico honk the train horn. Choo! Choo! Out from the tunnel, everything is light again. "Thank you, Mr. Engineer, for showing me the front of the train," says Pacifico.

On his way back to his seat, Pacifico stops and makes new friends. He learns that they live in different areas and get off at a different stop than him.

Pacifico is having a lot of fun playing games, drawing, and dancing with his new friends. This is such a fun train ride, Pacifico thought to himself.

"We are getting off the next stop," said Pacifico's mom.

Choo! Choo!

Pacifico looks out the window and sees...

Snow! But he also sees his auntie, uncle, and cousins. "It's my relatives!" happily, yelled Pacifico. "I can't wait to tell them about my adventure throughout the train."

Pacifico is the first one off the train. They greet him with a great big warm hug and presents too. It feels good to be around family during this time of year.

Pacifico absolutely loves riding the train. But he loves spending time with his family even more!
