haunted hotel

It was a dark and stormy night when Emma and James arrived at the old hotel on the outskirts of town. They had been traveling for hours and were exhausted. The hotel looked like it hadn't been updated in decades, with peeling wallpaper, creaky floors, and a musty smell that filled the air.

Despite the creepy ambiance, Emma and James decided to stay the night. They were on a tight budget and this was the cheapest option available. As they settled into their room, they noticed a strange feeling in the air. It was as if they were being watched.

They tried to ignore it and went to bed, but they were soon awakened by strange noises. Footsteps could be heard pacing the hallway outside their door, but when they opened it to investigate, no one was there. The couple began to feel uneasy, but they attributed it to their tiredness and lack of sleep.

As the night wore on, the activity only increased. Emma heard whispers in her ear, even though no one was there. James felt something tug at his sheets, and he swore he saw a figure standing at the end of the bed. They tried to leave the room, but the door wouldn't budge. They were trapped.

Finally, as the sun began to rise, the couple fell asleep from exhaustion. When they woke up hours later, they were confused. It was bright outside, but the room was dark. They couldn't find the light switch, and their phones had no service. As they searched for a way out, they realized that the hotel was different. It was as if they had traveled back in time.

Suddenly, they heard a loud bang. It sounded like it came from downstairs. Emma and James cautiously made their way down the stairs, and that's when they saw the other guests. They were all dressed in old-fashioned clothing, and they stared at Emma and James as if they were ghosts.

The couple tried to ask for help, but the guests didn't seem to understand them. They spoke in an unfamiliar language and gestured for them to follow. Emma and James reluctantly obeyed, feeling as if they had no other choice.

They were led to a room at the end of the hallway. It was dimly lit, and the air was thick with a foul odor. The guests gathered around, and Emma and James were pushed towards the center of the room. Suddenly, they were engulfed in a blinding light.

When they opened their eyes, they were back in their own time. They were lying in the middle of the hotel lobby, surrounded by police officers and hotel staff. They were told that they had been missing for days, and that they were the only ones who had disappeared. The other guests had never seen them leave the hotel.

Emma and James were confused and disoriented. They didn't remember anything after falling asleep in their room. They were taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, but no physical harm was found.

The police investigated the hotel, but they found no evidence of foul play. However, they did find a strange room at the end of the hallway. It was locked from the outside and filled with strange artifacts and symbols. The hotel staff claimed they had never seen the room before.

Emma and James never spoke of their experience again. They returned home, but they were changed. They had seen things that they couldn't explain, and they knew that something wasn't right about that hotel. They never found out what happened to them that night, but they knew one thing for sure: they would never stay in a haunted hotel again.
