Esmerelda, adopted by an Energy Being and a Cyclops Warrior, was being returned to Earth. Standing barely five feet tall, she was dwarfed by the other passengers, mostly elderly women, as she boarded the space ship USS Fire Dragon; a ship that was captained by Dravence Gearson. Being twenty-three years old, she looked forward to the new phase in her life as her parents went on to their own planets to look for mates of their own.

Dravence stared angrily at the computer console that showed the mass of passengers boarding his ship, not used to having any passengers aboard the small vessel, he frowned as he saw a small child-like creature being pushed aboard. Punching in a few commands, he growled in frustration as the feminine voice began talking distortedly.

"Pass...Child...Not...Female...Child"

"Gods blast it Penz, what is going on now?" He hit the console in frustration moments before the entire ship went black. Generators soon caused the deep, red lights of an emergency to come on and he saw that the screens were no longer of any use. Sighing roughly, he decided to go below to the passenger deck and see what was going on with the old people who were on his ship.

When he reached below decks, he saw the same child-like creature that was on his screen from before the blackout, bent over an opened panel. Growling, he grabbed the child up by an arm and forced a door open; taking time to ensure that it was an empty room before shoving the child inside.

Esmerelda gasped as she felt a hard hand grab her and tear her away from the panel that she had opened, and once her feet landed on the floor, she whirled around to face whomever had grabbed her away from her work. "Excuse me, but you have no right...."

"On the contrary, I have every right. What did you do to my ship?"

Esmerelda gaped at the tall man who stood angrily in front of her. "I didn't do anything, I was trying to fix it so that the captain could be spared the expense of calling IT Support."

"And just who do you think you are to fix my ship? You are nothing but a child who is what...ten, twelve years old?"

Esmerelda glared at him before tilting her chin upwards defiantly. "I am twenty-three years old and a passenger aboard this ship. My name is Esmerelda."

Dravence barked out a laugh, "You?! Impossible!"

"If you don't believe me, then let me prove it. I can fix your ship."

"Fine." Dravence stepped away from the door and pulled it open for her, watching as she walked gracefully out of the room. He stood in the doorway with his arms crossed as she slipped between the walls and wiggled a bit. Before too long the air vents came to life and the red lights turned back to white. The group of elderly people, who had been standing in the hallway, breathed a sigh of relief as Esmerelda slipped back out into the hallway.

"I should kick you off my ship."

Esmerelda smirked as she dusted herself off. "I just saved you thousands of credits, it was a loose wire that needed to be reconnected. The ship is fully operational now."

Dravence frowned before he stalked towards her, using his height to intimidate her. "I see that, but if I find out that you were the reason the wires became disconnected in the first place your little backside will be off my ship faster than you can blink. Understand?"

Esmerelda frowned as she looked up at him. "You should take care to not judge someone by their appearances Sir. Looks can often deceive."
