Carla had hoped after ten years with Sasha, they’d feel as one.

Sasha: sexy, fierce, work-obsessed. Carla: wishes Sasha was sexy, fierce, Carla- obsessed.

“I thought our souls would have merged by now.“

“Is that right?” asks Sasha jumping on Carla’s back for an impromptu piggy-back ride. Delighted, Carla giddy-ups around the sofa until her back goes out. “Okay, get off now!”

But instead of off, Sasha goes in. Her body dissolves, blends, melts into Carla’s. Legs, arms, chest, head, face all fuse inside of Carla until Sasha completely disappears.

From inside Carla’s full belly, Sasha’s voice echoes, “Happy now?”
