A Wish for Humanity

Time had lived on Earth since the beginning and so at the end of 100,000 years, the Universe came to Time and said, "Time, you have lived in humanity from the beginning of Creation and with all of the knowledge that you've gathered, what wish do you have for humanity?"

Time thought and responded with the wisdom of the ages, "for humanity I wish many things but above all I wish that they would be given the gift of realization... may they experience the same treatment they give to others and to all living things in return....for time without realizing what one does is time not well spent... May humanity realize what they do," said Time. "When they truly love, may they know what it feels like to be truly loved in return. When they are kind, may they experience kindness done onto them as well. When they are thoughtful, may they experience what consideration feels like. For humanity, I wish that they experience in return what they have given first hand. To reap what they sow. To really know what it is that they do."

The Universe listened and then responded, "Is this all that you wish for humanity?"

"Not quite," said Time and added in his wish for man/woman-kind "For when you turned your back at the opportunity to make a difference, may you realize what it feels like to have backs turned onto you. When you acted selfishly and righteously at the expense of another, may you live to realize what it feels like to have the same be done onto you. When you filled your needs and ignored the needs of others, may you live to realize what it feels like to need and not have. When you spewed venomous words that caused emotional pain and suffering, may you live to hear the same and may it cause you equal pain and suffering." Time felt that realizing was not easy for humans.

The Universe knew that Time just wanted fairness and balance to be restored so that there could be quality of life for all. "How do you propose for this to happen?", the Universe asked Time.

Time answered, "May the gates of heaven open for man/woman-kind so they may walk through them when the time comes. At the time of ascension, may they hear the beautiful symphany of Angels sing rejoicing the coming of their Soul into Heaven, but until they have lived, really lived to experience life as well as their doings, they will not know what life is really all about. May they have done unto them as they have done onto others."

Time thought about his conversation with the Universe. He wondered and pondered about it. In his pensative state he thought, "Can this actually happen? If Time is not enough, then how will humans ever realize what they are doing when they cause pain, suffering, hurt or sadness?" It felt like it was going to take more than just Time to help them to realize.

The next day, the Universe came to Time but he was not alone. The Universe said to Time, "I would like you to meet Karma. I've heard what you've said Time and as a result, I present Karma. Karma will be in charge of restoring balance where balance has been lost.

"You will join together to help humanity," the Universe stated as he left. The Universe knew that his pairing of Time and Karma was a perfect match. Time needed Karma to feel that balance was being restored in humanity and Karma needed Time to provide the space to do it. They knew that their union was divine for Time provided humans with the opportunity to change and Karma provided experiences so that they would learn about the changes they needed to make ...

Karma was fragile at times and fierce at others. Together, Time and Karma worked hard to help Humanity. Earth was in chaos. Those who lied instead of telling the truth were many and the cries of the wronged were heard through echoes of vibration. In an effort to keep pain from turning Earth upside down, Karma took all that she had and unleashed it so that all who created pain and destruction felt the insecurity of being lied to to the point of crying for mercy in return. Those who created suffering due to injustice learned by having injustices done onto them which caused for their suffering. Time and Karma were extremely busy as they worked together to create balance in the world. Humans had become relentlessly selfish. After many battles and wars, after many suns and moons, after many changes of the tides, after many storms and disasters humans began to pull together. After lossing friends, family and loved ones, humans began to express humility. Time and Karma began to see that indeed there was hope in that humans could actually be capable of realizing the value of life... The sad part was that they were only able to realize when pain was involved, but eventually - many did while others continued to reap what they sowed until the pain of what they do was felt in return by having the same done unto them. And so Time and Karma continued to work together...
